Good value
Great value. I fish saltwater and these Battle reels hold up. I felt the rod was a little heavy for the reel and ended up swapping reels with another setup I have but nothing wrong with the 7' rod.

I was hoping to find a promo coupon to help in the price of the item since it was a bit over $****. However, this is the fishing pole my nephew wanted.... so I ordered it. I know he will love it.

Nice combo but not made in the USA.
The Penn Battle is a great combo rod and reel setup. It is a sturdy well made product you can feel in your hand. The drag is strong, bale and spool are high quality and the body is aluminum not composite. I have always liked Pflueger products but this seems better made and my go to combo. The one thing that will deter me is that they are made in China. If they don't start making them in America then tgis will be my last Penn!

Product arrived broken due to poor packaging before shipping. When I returned this item I had to settle for a smaller model because the one I ordered and returned was out of stock.
