Well built and great value
Well built reel - use it for snagging spoonbill and it has not failed. This is my 2nd one. The 209 platform failed immediately for us, but the 309 has held up to heavy use.

Second time was the charm
Should have received 5 stars but the reel was sloppily assembled because the drive shaft was the wrong one. I returned it for another. The replacement Penn reel gets 5 stars.
