I love this tank! My students and fellow teachers all love it and ask about it every time they come in my classroom.
The fish loves it. It makes a beautiful centerpiece.
I love it, but i must say they didn't think in the fish when making it, it only has small space to feed the fish or you have to remove the whole top ot it. Not a very good design in that part, other than that it's very good. It is a little hard to put plants in the little basket since mine already had long roots. I lost a couple that broke trying to fit them in. but it looks very good.
The top/main picture is not accurate. The subsequent pictures are and the fifth picture down looks exactly like what I received from Walmart today. Most Beta tanks I've seen are less than 1 gallon and this one is almost 1 and 1/2 gallons so it's plenty of room for a Beta fish. There are air holes near the top and if the fish wants to blow bubbles, it can. I don't know if Beta fish actually do this, I just read about it in on of the negative reviews. Going to take this to PetSmart and ask them how many of their tiny 18 cent goldfish they think I should put in it, along with sand for the bottom. I am giving this 4 stars because I have not actually put anything in it yet and I had to write a review once I saw how fake the negative reviews are. Yes, a Beta will be happy with a 3-5 Watt heater for this size aquarium (I just looked it up) but I'm doing goldfish so no heater needed.
These are terrible betta aquariums. They do not provide adequate filtration, space or heat. Also, the fish don't eat plant roots to live, they need proper care in an actual aquarium.
Way Too small for betas. They need a heater and at least 5 gallons. Imagine being trapped in your bathroom for life. That is what these are equivalent to. This should be illegal. They are nice for bedroom humidity in the winter, hence 2 stars.
Not at all how it is pictured, you can only put a very tiny plant in the holder. Also turns out it is really bad for the fish, so I returned it.
Terrible, don't buy this. Betta fish deserve a proper home with room to swim, ( at least 3 Gallons), a heater and filter. Plus Betta are air breathers, they need space at the top of the tank to breath.
People say that betta fish are hardy fish wittch isn't false, but if you here people say that they are found in a mud hole that is false. While they are hardy fish they would probly die if you put them in this tank they also need lots of air and don't like mooving water. So they need space at the top to come up and breath you are harming you'r betta by buying this tank.
This product is a torcher cell for any fish, their is no way to install a heater, filter, or bubbler. This is a guarantee way to kill a fish. FISH TANKS ARE NOT DECORATIONS! Fish tanks are suppose to mimic a natural environment for your fish, this does not. If you want to get this, NEVER, I repeat NEVER put in live fish, even if it is just a small tetra. Please be nice to your fish and get a ten gallon instead. It may be more expensive but if you can't afford it then just don't get a fish.
