We used this for our fish tank. It turns very slowly, so definitely test it. We were going on vacation and needed to feed the fish. It'll take some time to tune it so it drops exactly the amount of food your fish need. It feeds them twice a day! I would have preferred once a day, but I just decreased the food to half the normal amount. It didn't stay on our tank very well, but it must depend on if your tank has a lid or not.

This product works very well when it comes to distributing the food 2 times a day. The problem is that it distributes way too much food and the food just dumps at the bottom of the tank. There is no way the you can restrict the amount other than the switch that's on there and it does not allow you to put it to a small enough amount.This is me for a huge tank and not the fifty gallon tank that I have.

I bought it thinking it would be good but it does not have an adjuster to regulate food amount And it only feeds at most 2-3 fish per feeding. It should have it written in the outside of the box how many fish it can feed. It's used and now I can't take it back

Zero stars if that were an option. This automatic fish feeder does not work at all. I installed a brand-new AA battery, clamped the feeder securely to the tank, and turned the switch on as instructed. According to the product description, the drum is supposed to rotate and dispense food twice per day. After two full days, it has not moved even once. I even set up a time-lapse camera to confirm whether it was operating when I wasn't watching. The feeder never activated. This unit appears to be completely nonfunctional right out of the box. I expected a basic automatic feeder, but instead received a product that simply does nothing. I will be returning it for a refund.
