Instructions are simple and easy! I would recommend you allow this to run in a bucket of water instead of your whole tank. I had a shunt film like thing on top of my water in my tank and wasted 40gal of water because of that. Perfect for a turtle! My water is way better than it ever has been with any other filter.

Works well for its price, have always used cascade filters for my turtle tank. For the heavy filtration needs of a turtle tank, these last about 2-3 years before the motor gives out with regular cleaning. Easy to clean. A bit of a struggle to prime at this size, but there's tip videos online on how to prime them better than what the instructions say to do, and once they get going the flow is strong. Kind of loud, but the noise is tolerable in exchange for how well it works.
