This is the perfect size for a desk and a small fish. The light is bright enough to see the tank, and the decorations inside. The white light esentuates the decorations and fish. It's the perfect amount of brightness for a room, bright but not too bright to distract. probably too bright to sleep with, we haven't tried that, as it's in our office. great price, and filter is quiet
Good little tank for a small betta or small group of shrimp. . .nothing more. This is too small for a anything larger, no goldfish people please. The light witll actually grow my planted substrate stem plants along with all my floaters. Good litght. The filter can be rigged for ddesired flow by adding a piece for med or fine foam. I would recommend this a betta on the small side. Tank is small but has its purpose. Just be mindfull about the space for your buddy. . . . I have a small female here but this is not the only tank she resides in. So yeah, be supportive or folks figuring the tanks size out. . . its a lesson learned.
This iss a good deal and a good tank. Excellent size for a beta and had a good filter and good lighting. Easy enough to clean.
I'm shocked at how much I like this tank. I bought it as a temporary home for a betta I got last week, intending on switching to something bigger ASAP. But this tank is really nice! My guy loves it, I love the light on top, and it's surprisingly roomy. I was able to tank the filter out because I'm not sure if it will be too strong, but water changes are easy with this tank, so that's not a problem. I've had no problems with it, and while I do plan on upgrading to something around the 3 gallon range, I'm not worried about doing it right this second. All in all, this is a great tank for a betta, in my opinion.
Look at the stuff before buying
I got this little tank for my Moss Balls, Pete, Kate and Shaggy. They really love it. I wish the cord on this filter was a little longer so you can move it to either side. As you can see I had it upside down in my photo because that is where I wanted it. I had to move it to the other corner so it would work properly. This needs improvement. Otherwise it looks good on my kitchen island.
Little smaller then I thought and filter takes up 3rd of tank.. could be a little cheaper
This tank is definitely not designed for a betta because of the filtration mainly the lighting is not too good as well. The filter has too much current. Bettas come from slow moving waters. Like rice patties. I turn my pump on occasionally and it's too much. I almost destroyed a bubble nest by turning the filter on. I bought it on clearance and it's not worth the clearance price.
