Pennington Cedar Bluebird House With Predator Guard

This birdhouse is super cute, I really love it. I hope the birds like it too. It's made of wood, which by the way smells really nice and gives it a very natural and beautiful touch. It's designed to be placed on a tree or mounted on a wall, making it perfect for the garden and for giving birds a safe space to stay. It also opens from the side, which makes it very easy to clean. Overall, it's a really lovely option to decorate the garden while also welcoming birds.

I really like this cedar birdhouse. I feel like it is made well. The latch on the side allows for a very easy cleaning of the inside of the birdhouse. The predator guard is also a nice touch. Unfortunately, mine did not come with the screw necessary to melt it, so I will have to use my own.

This is very cute. I have bird nest around my house in the back and in the front and this will be an extra. This is a slightly different color than the ones I have. But it is very well-made. I already have bird food at home so we'll fill it in. The door and the secure part of it prevent squirrels to come in. Looks very cute indeed.

I love the way the wood looks on this bird feeder. My backyard birds are really enjoying their new upgrade! It has a side latch you can open too which makes it easier if any predators get in there. It also smells nice, not overwhelming at all. Love my new bird feeder for my birdies.

Perfect little Cedar birdhouse. One of the sides open with a latch for easy nest removal. This bird house is ready to paint or use as is. It does come with a screw that's attached to the bottom to mount it with and a pre-drilled hole in the back. Definitely made of cedar you can smell it and it's made in the USA. This is a great bird house, simple and efficient to get birds nesting.

I love this birdhouse. It is very sturdy and weather resistant. I love the fact that it is easy to clean between nestings. My birds love it. I definitely recommend it to my family and friends.

not sure how long it will last since it is put together with staples and the top piece is warped. lots of gaps around where the sides meet, too. don't know if that's intentional as I have other old bird houses that are tight fitting but over the years have succumbed to the weather. won't be buying more online as need to be looking at them first for quality.

On the plus side, this is real cedar, so the wood itself should hold up. The side is advertised as able to open up for cleaning, and has a clasp to hold it closed. In actuality, when you attempt to open it, the opening side butts up to the floor of the house, preventing you from opening it more than about an inch and a half. While I fashioned my own pole and mount, it appears this is designed to screw on to a tree or wooden post using the screw stapled to the bottom. However, not sure how you would drive the screw, since the side does not open wide enough for you to hold a screw in place while driving it. If you have a really steady hand and a long screwdriver that is magnetic, you would still have a tough time. Lastly, the house is fastened with what appears to be small finish brads. As they get wet from the rain, they will rust and fail over time. All that said other birdhouses are MUCH more expensive, so we'll see.

Don't waste your money. Very cheaply made.

The Pennington Classics Cedar Bird House broke before I could even hang it up. There is one nail holding the birdhouse door in place. I undid the latch and the piece of would snapped where the nail went in. The house seems poorly made.
