Pennington Southwest Blend Wild Bird Seed for Outside Feeders, 20 lb., 1 Pack, Dry Bird Food

I have been ordering this bird seed for two or three years and the reason is that the birds love it and there aren't any weed seeds to worry about. No need to worry about weed seeds that may come with this mixture. I live in the southwest high desert and we have finches, quails, sparrows, robins, and several more.

Good for the price and really does attract a wide variety. In western Arizona, I get birds like Eurasian collared doves, white tail doves, house sparrows, white crowned sparrows, house finches, curve billed thrashers, cactus wrens, gilded flickers, gimbals quail, and western scrub jays to visit this seed mix.

I live out in the country In west Texas and have so many types of wild birds that I feed. I've been doing this for years but I have never come across a seed that the birds go crazy for and eat every bit without leaving filler seed behind. I believe this is Pennington's most popular bird seed because it's very hard to find. Most of the time it's sold out, so grab it when you can! It has actually attracted birds that I didn't even know were on my property. birds like Painted Buntings, Orchard Orioles, Brown-headed cow birds, and Ash-throated Flycatchers. Of course the Cardinals, Sparrows, Blue Jays, House Finches, and Starlings love the stuff as well. The seed is low dust and low filler seeds. I put them in all of my feeders and have to replace them everyday.

The only thing I didn't like was how few sunflowers were in it. It is mostly smaller seeds. However, the wild finches and other smaller birds love it. Blue Jays and Robins will eat what they can find like the sunflowers. For the price I still think it's a good deal. I use it to feed the birds and my squirrels.

This is a nice blend of several different types of seed that the wild birds here in Tucson, AZ really enjoy. There's no wasted seed or leftovers. I really appreciate the ratio of different seeds, as some brands really put mostly millet seed and very little others, but this brand has a nice blend that the birds love.

My birds love this blend. I love the price but the weight (40 lbs) is too heavy for me. I'm switching to 20 lbs and paying more but it saves me going to chiropractor. I had 20 quail, mourning doves, scrub jays, sparrows. I have hanging feeders and ground feeders. Once they discover the seed you almost regret feeding them. But it's fun to watch them.

Since I live in the SW, I would think this variety, as opposed to the classic, would be available in-store. Alas, no, It has to be shipped. It's worth it because it has a couple of extra ingredients that appeal to my local wildlife. Allow up to 5 days for delivery despite what you're told at check-out. The price is reasonable *fingers crossed*.

I figured bird seed is bird seed but I was wrong I'm in north east Pennsylvania and we are having the coldest winter 🥶 we've had in a very long time. I grad a couple of scoops of seed and throw some into the yard and some I put down in strips so it's spread out all over for the birds and the pretty much eat it all except for some kind of white seed . I bought this bag because they were out of my normal bag of Pennington seeds that I get .

I buy2 packages of this product every week because we love the dressing that comes with the salad mix. However at times we get the salad mix and it goes bad with a day or two. I have to throw out some of the mix now and will have to double think if it's worth the money verses the freshness problem.

its decent seed but the walmart brand is a better value for the same 20 lb bag . the photo on the product page shows zero corn yet the bag i received is full of large whole size pieces of corn. i posted 3 pics. the last one is a screenshot of their ad page
