Pennington Ultra Grow Potting Soil Mix, 1 cu ft., 25 lb.

I mixed this bag of premium soil in with the soil that was already in my houseplants. I mixed and added it to 2 snake plants and a tropical variety. I thought of it as plant food. The soil contains things your plants need for good health. The bag recommends you use only this soil but I decided against that. I think adding it works fine. It's for container plants kept indoors or out. My plants were looking a little puny and I think this really perked them right up. The new soil helps the plants hold moisture, as well. I'm sure that helped too. I plan on buying a couple more bags and adding it to all my houseplants.

The mix isn't as sandy as I'd expected but drains well. The mix does seem a might rich/heavy for succulents and cacti, but it does look to be working well, and it does drain rapidly.I highly recommend this product for happy healthy plants and for plant owners that don't want to re-pot!

Pennington Ultra Grow Potting Soil Mix 8 quart Is great for any plant! It is definitely growing up my seeding pretty fast and it's full of nutrients because my seeds are already with three leaves each! It looks clean and doesn't have a bad smell like other soil mix as well which is great for inside plants! I'm definitely happy with this brand!

The soil has a nice dark brown color and contains peat moss and perlite. It is soft to touch and does not become mud with water. I used the soil to repot my plant. The bag has plenty to fill the pot with some left-over. The plant has a few pink flowers that normally die within a week. I can tell the new soil has improved the plant's health as these flowers are more vibrant than before using this soil. It also helps as it is light and keeps the moisture. I was concerned with watering my plant as it always seemed to need more, and I did not want to drown it. I had problems with root rot prior for this plant, as it needs moist soil without too much liquid. Now I do not have to worry about watering since once every two weeks seems perfect. I will buy this product again in the future for other plants. I have recommended this as a good product for houseplants to both family and numerous friends. The nutrients are good and should last a considerable amount of time without needing additives in the future. I am very happy with this product.

I repotted an aloe plant with this Ultra Grow Potting Soil Mix by Pennington and so far (after about 2 weeks) it seems to be doing a lot better. I really like that this soil has water holding crystals. This soil can be used either indoors or outdoors. Since my aloe is doing better, I plan on using this soil in my other plants as well!

Pennington Ultra Grow Potting Soil Mix is wonderful to use. My plants are thriving in this soil, which says a lot since I am not an experienced gardener. It has a combination of ingredients to feed my plants with all the proper nutrients for several months. This soil makes growing plants very easy! Highly recommend!

For years, I've always purchased Pennington brand grass seed as it grows a much more lush lawn than any other brand. However, I never thought potting soil would make such a difference! I always just got the cheapest and assumed it was just like any other. Much to my surprise, it is not. Apparently this soil is very nutrient rich. I had some plants that didn't look too hot so when receiving this, I transplanted them without high hopes. Much to my surprise, weeks later, they have improved immensely. I wish I'd have taken a before and after. Looking at the bag, the soil is nutrients rich and feeds plants for up to 6 months. No more popping in plant food sticks/etc..just let the soil do the work. To make mine go a bit further, I did mix the bag with about a 3rd amount of black dirt. This also helps a ton so that water absorbs easier I noticed as many potting soil, the water sits at the top! Pennington products of any variety are always a worthy investment.

This was the perfect size to take into work for my office plants. They needed a little refreshing and this soil did the trick. They are happier healthier plants now. The size is perfect to transport easily and stores away neatly in my desk. The bag zips up easily so there is no mess and no spillage. It seems like good quality potting soil with a nice rich feel to it.

Ready for Warner weather so I can start planting. This is the best putting soil. I usually always use Pennington putting soil. When planting, I don't have to feed or add nutrients to the soil till the next year. Great for indoor or outdoor and CONTAINS water retaining crystals so you don't need to worry about water as much. This soil is super rich in nutrients for plants and or vegetables. I highly recommend!

Penningtons ultra grow potting soil is a decent soil. I used it for seedlings and repotting a few plants. I did feel the need to add a bit of perlite to the mix. Both because the soil felt a little dense, and I was using it for plants that like a well draining soil. Both the seedlings and replantings seem to be doing well after a couple weeks. I think this is a good quality soil which should be expected from a brand like Pennington.
