I ordered the item on a Thursday afternoon from several states away and it was here before noon of the following morning with the shipping included. The only bad thing about it all was a snarky email reply from their customer service regarding no military discount.

This appears to be a good quality pump. It's only rated 1 HP, but appears to be as powerful as the 1.5 HP Harris pump that I replaced. It easily runs the Kreepy Krawly vacuum and the skimmer in my in-ground 22’x44’ pool, at the same time. Hopefully it will last longer than the Harris (5 months )or similar Doheny branded pumps (18 months), that I previously had. I love the large junction box on the top of the motor. There are a few issues with the pump, but not dealbreakers. 1. It is noticeably louder than the previous pumps. 2. The strainer basket is pretty small and requires cleaning at least twice as often as the Harris/Doheny pumps. 3. The strainer cover is hard to remove. Hopefully this will easier over time. I like that it's not a variable speed. I have a timer/freeze-stat on the pump so I can optimize run time without paying a huge premium for built-in timers and speed control.

The pump fit up well with a few plumbing modifications due to model change. Small concern with audible sound from pump that was not noticeable form original pump

I like everything about the product except that it's a little more noisy than my previous one. Has a high pitch whine that my other one did not have. But everything else is better including the wiring connections location on the top where it is much easier to get to. Otherwise it would have been a 5.

Dohenys customer service was awesome as I returned this item and they were very helpful. But for others in the market I would advise against this pump. It was so much louder than any pump I have had in last 20 years. Would have to turn off to sit outside by pool if I wanted to relax and enjoy.

pump is behind a vinyl fence but you can still hear it from across the entire yard. You can hear it inside at night. I should have paid more attention to the review that described exactly what I am experiencing and not to the Pentair website saying this is a quiet pump. I have had 2 different brands of pumps at another pool I owned and they are very quiet.
