Bought this on a whim as the price was really good. Must say I am pretty impressed with it. Easy to set up. I haven't set up the backup camera yet as the instructions aren't the greatest but I searched Google and found the info I needed. Will install it soon.
The installation was pretty good and straight forward. The product delivers. Initial setup took few extra minutes, once it's setup correctly, it works like a charm! The sound quality of the Pentantan car stereo is not good, so its better to integrate with the car music system,
this product is exactly like Google CarPlay. There's many ways to connect it with your phone, including Bluetooth, aux, C charger port through cigarette lighter hole... I personally chose it because I'm riding in a 2006 Volvo and I'm used to newer cars so it's huge switch up.... personally, for me the first adhesive of the black round circle held up very nicely and stayed in place. It was very hard to peel up. However, the stand itself did not want to suction to that piece. It suction better to the dashboard itself. Once you lose the stickiness, I just recommend buying a new stand for $10(ish) they say that you can wash them and use them over. I haven't tried it. Certainly recommend it.
It was easy to set up for the music part of it. I have not set up the backup camera yet, but I still want to it hooked up to my phone well but sometimes after turning the car off and then turning it back on depending it won't hook back up for a while, but that could be because of just my car and I don't have that on the right settings or something. I'm still working on it and messing with it but I really like it so far. I like the touchscreen and I'm sure once I get all the settings correct it'll work great.
The installation and setup were easy. However, when using CarPlay it often goes blank and restarts. On a 30 mile (1 hr) trip on Friday, it restarted at least 4 times!
First off, I'm very into music and sound quality. I'm not big on technology, although I'm fairly good at it. I'm using this in my 07 Ford Escape, and it does what I need it to do. I got this supposedly on sale for $39.99 marked down from $199.99. If it was any more than $40, truthfully, I'd probably return it. I tried using the wireless auto play numerous times, and it's a very unstable connection. Plus, you have to use Wi-Fi and Bluetooth at the same time. Which for some reason disconnects my internet. I have a brand new Samsung Galaxy only a week old, so I can't blame the glitches on my phone. Using the data cable included makes communication to my phone stable. Sound quality is excellent even with my stock speakers, although I'm going to order some new speakers which should enhance the sound even better. The description on Walmart.com claims it puts out 240 watts, which should be 60 watts a channel, but the owners manual says 20 watts a channel. I haven't installed the backup camera yet, but I will, and I'm sure it will work great. Which is a bonus since my suv doesn't have one stock. All the cables and mounting brackets were very high quality and sturdy. Manipulating around the home screen and switching different modes is fairly difficult, but this is only my second day of using it. Hopefully, it will get easier the more I use it and get more familiar with the device. Overall, I'd recommend buying it, but only at the price point I mentioned.
It was not what I wanted first off. I was disappointed with it and tried to return it. For some reason it would come back to my house days later after handing it to FedEx. There were 3 attempts. I called Walmart who said they would send me another return label and it never happened. I ended up giving it away. Also, while I bought it on Walmart website under clearance, I found out it was cheaper on amazon. Felt like I got scammed.
was not am/ fm compatible , only received news stations and ran very hot was concerned it would catch fire! Only "good tjing" about it is it was a good widescreen gps.
this device not working as Wal 1 no communication with back camera 2 transmitter dos does not heave good signal with FM radio 3 its stop Anons for red light and speed cameras I won to return this device Don't waste your money
The item I was sent is not a car stereo. It is nothing more than a display screen. All you can do is view what your phone is displaying or the back up camera. There is no info on the device itself , ie model %23, manufacturer, serial number, etc. the description made it sound like an actual car stereo. I would not recommend this device to anyone and I would not trust buying from this seller.
