the Pentel Arts GraphGear 1000 is a solid, serious drafting/drawing tool. Comfortable to hold and manipulate, the retractable tip keeps the leads from breaking in storage and in handling. Overall, a great tool... the kit of four pencils with the appropriately sized leads is a solid deal. Many sellers ask $17 - $20 PER PENCIL... so the 4 piece set is economical as well as practical..
Wow, these are excellent professional quality mechanical pencils! The pencils fit nicely in your hand, seem to glide across the page and very sturdy. I have had cheaper Pentel mechanical pencils before but these are so much better in comparison. These were recommended by Karen Campbell, a drawing and mixed media artist on her YouTube drawing channel. They ain't cheap but through Walmart I received a much better price than elsewhere.
High quality pencil set.
I love these. The number one feature is the lead retracts when the pocket clip is utilize. A mechanical pencil generally is useless in the wood shop, due to constantly breaking the lead. The .7mm is now my goto pencil. I use the finer lead with my Incra measuring tools.

This was a gift but the set is very nicely presented and the pencils are very high quality. My grandson who loves to draw was thrilled and says they are very nice.
