The pentel .5 has been my choice of mechanical pencil has been my choice for 10 years plus. The .5 lead is clean and crisp. I used it as a member of management at Walmart. I have been working on the family trees for mine and my husbands. I hand write when researching. The eraser on the pencil is handy but it is faster to use the flat eraser. Was happy to see it was included in the package. Because I am working on 16 branches I ordered 3 packages.

Just what I needed. I recently lost my green pentel pencil and I was glad to find another at Walmart. Very Happy Camper ! Bonus of 3 extra pencils along with erasers and lead. Like that the lead advances smoothly and stays sharp longer than an ordinary pencil. The twist eraser is quite good. Like the fact that the package contains spare leads and an eraser. Like the convenience of the molded side clip which clips the pencil to my planner and allows me to close the book, return later and find my place instantly.

Since my son absolutely has to have mechanical pencils, I have found myself CONSTANTLY buying them. I got these and he has yet to say he needs more. That tells me that they are lasting, not requiring more lead soon after buying. Nor has he asked for additional erasers. That's a win in my book for the price!

I have been using these pencils for a couple of decades now and will always keep a supply on hand. Really liking the longer erasers than those in days of yore!

Favorite mechanical pencils. Sturdy. Easy to hold. Good balance in the hand. Not as tough as the twist erase iii, but less expensive. I love how long the eraser lasts.

Bought these a few times love them and love that it has such a big eraser, I've always wondered what the point of other mechanical pencils is with erasers that barely last and have hard or impossible to find replacement erasers.

These pencils are great but not the ones my son wanted. FYI: There is a “Click” version I II III. Each with different specs, so be on the lookout for which version you prefer because there are slight differences!

Whoever makes these mechanical pencils the .5mm lead ones did a lousy job. Pentel in the past has always had great mechanical pencils. In fact I still have alot of the pencils that use .7mm. But the casing on the ones I just bought, the .5mm lead pencils won't stay together!! I had to put Scotch tape around the pencil to keep it from separating. Thankfully I don't use the .5mm very often. The eraser is good and the lead is still smooth . Overall I am disappointed.
