These are great in the morning or as a treat in the evening. They have a flaky texture, aren't too sweet and at only 230 calories come with less guilt than other snacks. They are frozen and have an excellent shelf life in the freezer. The real cherries are so yummy.
For some weird reason my local grocery chain refuses to stock Pepperidge Farm Turnovers, even though they remain the best for home-baked over every other brand including in-store. Walmart was the ONLY place I could get them. I looked, out of curiosity, and was delighted to see them on their website. My partner was thrilled when I presented him with a hot one. Wink!
The Pepperidge Farm Cherry Turnovers Pastries are amazing and nice to end your meal with a yummy treat. The convenient 4-count package makes it easy to store in the freezer. I have, however, not perfected the baking time on these pastries yet. Many times they have come out of the oven burned or overbaked. I can't wait to figure out the cooking time on these because, from what I have tasted, the cherry turnovers are delicious. I will purchase the Pepperidge Farm Cherry Turnovers Pastries again.
I'm was really impressed with the these cherry pastries from pepperridge farm and it only takes 20 minuets for the alotted baking time in the oven. Also, they are going to last a whole lot longer in the freezer than just rying to assemble them from scratch.
The combination of sweet and tart in the cherry filling is delicious and the pastry is pleasingly flakey
Have been enjoying these for many years now. Have to bake just one at a time or else I'd eat the entire box.
I love these Pepperidge Farm Cherry Turnovers Pastries. It cooks up light and fluffy phillo layers and has just the right amount of cherry filling. To me it's not overly sweet just the right amount of sweet and tart. Highly recommend.
I've been familiar with this product and eaten many of them for over fifty years. It seems to me that the tasty filling has been gradually reduced over the years. I rarely buy them because the value paid and quality is less. It's a convenient product when a quick dessert is needed. The cherry variety is not usually available at our store. All flavors are good.
If you have never had the old version of these you will like these. However, I liked the others where you got the dough and a tin of cherry filling and icing to drizzle on top. These are premade and prefilled. There are no cherries or pieces of cherries in the filling it's just a cherry sauce and no little packet of vanilla glaze to drizzle over the tops when cooled . These are good but not like they used to be.
yeah, I recommend them but I'll tell you one thing folks it says put in the oven twenty minutes to twenty five minutes. I put it in for eighteen minutes and the Burke to a crisp so I would say watch it and want to do the same. I'm gonna watch it. That's too bad they don't let you go in update your review after but hey, what can I say? They don't want to do that then I guess I can't update it. Just watch it be careful you don't burn it cause it burns very easy
