... they can't seem to keep it on the shelf. There are more strongly flavored ryes. This is a great compromise in that regard - never too forward but definitely rye bread. Nice consistent texture. I use it mostly for deli-style sandwiches, often grilled. I do wish it were sliced a *little* thicker. Because it tends to disappear for a week or two, you might want to order early and extra.
I really like ALL the different varieties of Pepperidge Farms Rye breads - they all are tasty and make great sandwiches. Plus they make great grilled ones - other brands I have tried seem like they are too soft somehow when toasting, while PF seem to toast/grill excellently with that "crunch" you want when biting into your grilled sandwich. I seem to buy a loaf every week, so you can tell it's a favorite!
Love so many of the Pepperidge Farm products. This seedless rye bread is packed with flavor. It's great for any type of sandwich but my favorite is having this rye bread with baked beans.
This bread is top tier other rye bread just doesn't compare. The Slices are perfect and the taste is delicious.
Really liked the thin slices. They were thick enough to support a sandwich but not too thick to cover the taste of the middle. Good tasting rye bread.
This item was not loaded at pickup along with my order, but I was charged. How can you make it right? Walmart said I would get this bread as a replacement for GV New York rye, but it was not placed in my bags at time of pickup, but I wS charged. Either replace it or issue my refund please!
The size and quality of this product has fallen off dramatically. It's sliced so think it's difficult to use for sandwiches and the texture is closer to Wonder Bread than a hearty rye. Only the picture is what you remember. Everything else has gone down in quality. Buy the Walmart brand instead.
I ordered this bread in the Walmart app. This is the second time this has happened. Is not fair. The employee at Walmart has to check the expiration date this is her job. So have drive to the store to do the change. Is not fair. I paid for the app. I gave a tip. And now I have to pay gas to change this.
Ordered dark. If I didn't get dark either Pepperidge farm or beef stake. Not plain rye paid almost 5 bucks. Whoever was the shopper didn't pay attention. Now I have bread I won't eat.
The whole loaf of bread was complete.y dried out and hard. Slices were misshaped although it was packed in a separate bag when delivered. It was clear the damage happened before it was delivered to the store. There were torn slices in the bag. It was undeniable. My experience after buying this bread many times in the past is that quality has gone down dramatically. I will be buying another brand in the future.
