I get thin bread to make sandwiches for my 92 year old father who has hand tremors. The consistency of the bread holds up well so that the sandwich doesn't fall apart when attempting to eat.
Pepperidge Farm bread is always absolutely delicious. But I had never seen or known that they put out an extra-thin sliced bread which, by the way, is absolutely excellent for hors d'oeuvre type sandwiches. I just used it for my cream cheese and maraschino cherry sandwiches and it was wonderful not having to go through a lot of bread to get to the goodies inside.
Very good and because its very thin it allows me to have a sandwich in my diabetic healthy food plan.
this bread is really thin and this is what I need as I reached an age to where food doesn't always want to go down where it needs to go and this bread is thin enough that I can eat it without having a lot of dough getting stuck in my throat.
I don't feel so bad eating one or two slices bc it takes 3 of these thin slices to equal 1 slice of typical bread slices.
When its says it's VERY THIN, it truly is! I'm cutting back on carbs so this is the perfect slice for me to get my toast fix without the calories and carbs. Just right!
This particular kind of bread is the best for grilled cheese sandwiches. I am amazed that you care enough to have it sent from Florida. How wonderful. Thanks.
These are the perfect size for toddlers (and adults looking to eat smaller portions). They are the same size as an American cheeese slice, but about 45% thicker. The ones we got were pretty dry, but I've noticed this with most bread except potato bread or artisan bread. I remedied this with how my mom kept our sandwiches she made ahead of breakfast soft and moist: wet paper towels, squeeze water out, then wrap the sandwich in it. Then, put it in a container or sandwich bag - something tight that keeps the paper towel in contact with the bread. I will definitely buy this bread again, it's just such a great size!
I have been purchasing this bread for years and I used to recommend it to people. That said now every time I order this and let's say the past year the bread is way too hard. It does not feel fresh at all. I kept trying to see if I was just getting bad batches and no such luck so I have now stopped ordering it.
The bread was very hard on both ends and sides. It had a hole through the entire middle of the loaf. Would not recommend this bread to anyone. It's very sad because it is a good bread.
