Perfect Coat Professional Deshedding Tool for Dogs of All Sizes

I never leave reviews but I was in desperate need of a deshedding tool for my short hair dog (miniature pinscher) her hair was every where and spending $50 on the furminater brush was a NO I love this brush it took out so much hair a big bunch the size of my whole hand enough for a whole other dog lol I didn't see to many brushes for short hair dog at Walmart only 2 and this one is worth the money very happy!

I am a dog bather and at our shop we have the Furminators, I know how valuable they are for de-shedding but I just could never warrant buying a $60 dog brush. I found this and decided to give it a shot with my six hairy heelers who were massively blowing coat! I can say from using both this works as well as, if not better than the furminator! the only thing the furminator has on this is the hair release button but for $30 less I don't need a button! Works wonders!

I recently bought this deshedding tool to use on my two Pomeranians. One of them has a very thick show quality coat. I had given her a bath and brushed her out. I noticed she had a lot of little mats underneath her collar. I thought I would have to resort to cutting them out. I had seen this at my local Walmart and decided to give it a try. It worked great! I got enough undercoat off her that I could have made another dog......and this was after I had already brushed her out with a pin brush! I am very impressed with this product!

My review is kinda lengthy, but I hope it helps you make the decision to TRY THIS BRUSH!! It is amazing!! I have 2 black Labs who shed... a lot. I vacuum the entire house AT LEAST every other day. (You're looking at this brush, that means you have a dog, so you know exactly what I mean.) Well, I discovered the yellow medium-sized F'nator about 8 years ago and hadn't used another brush since. Cuz it's a great brush, right?! Well, the handle broke and it wasn't doing as good of a job as it used to, so I got another one. Years later, the handle started coming loose on the next one, so I turned to the same brand yet again, and decided to try the bigger F'nator for ‘large dogs'. It appeared to only come with the fur extractor. I didn't want it, but figured I'd give it a try. Well, I think the large was too big for them, I didn't like the feel of it, and the fur extractor didn't actually retract, so it was more of a pain in the butt to even use. I was perfectly fine grabbing the clump of hair off the brush with my hand. Not a big deal. But after using the new large F'nator twice, I was just not happy with it at all, and bought it on a popular auction website, so I couldn't return it. Darn. So, back to search for another medium-sized brush. I decided to try this Perfect Coat brush. Had a 30 day satisfaction guarantee, so I figured I was no worse off if I didn't like it. Well, well, well… second time using it since I got it, and I will say this - I love it so much that I had to come write a review about it!! I just brushed my dogs outside today and they stood/sat still longer than either of them have EVER sat to get brushed!! And just when I thought one was done, the other would come back for more, and vice versa. So I just kept on brushin'! They seemed to enjoy it and I was happy to oblige. Haha. I even had to get a stool to sit on about halfway thru. I figure I must have been out there about an hour brushing the 2 of them!! They even let me do their sensitive spots, behind the ears, and their necks. No grabbing at the brush or fussing. I will admit, I even rolled my eyes and thought it was so dumb when other people wrote in their reviews that their dogs “love getting brushed now with this new brush”. Yes, I'm actually saying this because I could not believe it!! In 6 and 11 years, they haven't really minded getting brushed, but neither of them had ever sat still there as long as they did today, or come back and let me do their necks or more of the hind leg/under tail area that holds gobs of dead fur no matter how much you brush. I couldn't believe how much fur I got off of them, because I had just brushed them the other day with the F'nator! I would have taken a picture of all the fur, but because it was so windy, I had to throw each handful straight into the trash today as I brushed. But there was a LOT of fur. I really hope this makes a difference in the amount of fur that seems to cover the floor of my house every day. The brush has a smooth finish, a rubber grip just below the head and it fit my hand very well, and it was also very comfortable to hold ‘upside down', like I do probably about half the time I'm brushing, while leaning over the dogs to brush their hind ends. Brush appears to be well-built and solid. And yes, I like color, but that's not a factor, just a perk. And, next best thing, it is an excellent price point. A good brush like this for 20 is well worth it. I don't usually believe in writing reviews until I've had and used something for a long time, to see if it stands the test of time, how it holds up to daily use and abuse, normal wear and tear, etc. But I was very impressed with this product after just a few uses, so I wanted to share my experience. If my opinion of this product changes, I will be sure to update my review. And no, I did not get this at a discount or for free, I wish. That'd be nice to get to try products, but I've never had that opportunity. I don't know how people do it. I just like to let others know my experience (good or bad) with a product. Con: One drawback, it should come with a guard to protect the teeth when not in use. I had saved the old one from my original medium F'nator, so I use it on this brush. But I think it should come with one.

I am not sure why this doesn't have a five star rating!!! On the package, it does say for best results, use on a clean and completely dry coat. I have a husky lab mix who is a year an a half old and every stroke I make with this, gets so much undercoat! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Want to go buy 5 in case they ever discontinue!!

I have a 2 year old German shepherd/lab mix. He sheds like you wouldn't believe! I was finally fed up with sweeping/swiffering every day... decided to invest in a good shed brush. I was looking at the furninator, but bc of these reviews, and the awesome price decided to try this. I can't believe how well it works! I brushed Dyno last night, and I literally made a pillow in a gallon size ziplock bag from the hair that I got off him. And I could have still brushed more, but it was midnight, and we were in our camper. I HIGHLY recommend this brush if you are swimming in shredded dog hair like we were!!

A friend recommended that I buy the "furminator" but she said it was $50. I tried this instead for my husky who sheds like crazy and I absolutely love it! It's half the cost and works amazingly. It gets all her loose hair. It looks smooth and shiny now. I brush her with a small paddle brush, then use this, then the paddle brush again and probably 90% less shedding. :D -satisfied husky owner

I have tried them all! THIS IS THE BEST GROOMING TOOL EVER!!! Can use on any type of hair! Long, short, thick, thin...... CAT or DOG works on Both! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! EXCELLENT!
