I wish I got the woman's name at the bakery on S. Irby Street, Florence, SC because she is always so kind! She does a wonderful job every time I order a cake which I've been ordering from this Walmart several times this year. When I order to receive just as pictured! I do have one suggestion for the ordering online. There should be a section for alterations such as frosting color or extra filling. The cake is always moist and have a great taste! And always decorated beautifully!
When I first made my order , I had ordered a different type of icing. The bakery staff called me to advise the type of icing I had wanted would not hold up with the decorations. They suggested another type of icing and it was perfect and delicious.
One of the cutest cakes I've ever seen! Not only was the design adorable, but the flavor was absolutely delicious. The bakers did an amazing job bringing my vision to life and followed all of my instructions perfectly. I couldn't be happier! (the crown also comes with the order but I didn't want to put on it, it does look cute with it or without it)
i absolutely loved the cake. it was perfect. i took a sneak peak after she handed it to me in the bakery and it was so beaitiful. not a flaw in sight. i was very careful placing it in the cart and it not to let the box touch the cake. I had a few more things to pick up for a party (cups plates balloons etc.) and made sure to keep them in the top part of the cart away from the cake. i am a walmart member so i am able to do the scan and go so i did but when i went to check out i was flagged for an attendant to come and verify my purchases which im totally fine with and warned her there was a cake (already paid for when i ordered it with a paid sticker on top) in the box and it had a topper so i didnt want anything to be crushed but she could open it to check i jist asked that she be careful, but as she was choosing certain items to scan she slammed them down right on top of the cake box crushing the topper into the cake. i looked at the damage and the whole topper went straight into the cake to where i couldnt dig it out if i tried so it left a gaping hole right in the center of the cake, it had siken down all the way in. It was ruined before i even left the store because of an associate. i didnt get her name but she looked like a janet and was working self scan on Nov. 6th around 12. i choose not to go back to the bakery to have it remade because i know they worked hard on it and it wasnt their fault, i also needed it that day and worried there wouldnt be enough time to redo something so extravagant. i took it home and dug out the center topper and quickly made a fondant character i could cover the hole with. it was the whole center with about 2 inches on either side that wasnt sunken in by the topper so i made it worked. while she was scanning my items she also pushed the cake box to the side and by doing that she smushed the side of the cake into the box where there was no fixing that. it was just a smudge of frosting on half the cake's side destroyong the delicate design and leaving most of it on the side of the box. the cake decorators did a fabulous job. Janet needs to try stocking or working in the electronics because even after i told her to please be careful with the cake so it didnt get ruined she ignored me and ruined it twice. thanks janet. first picture shows how it looked when i was handed it from the bakery. 2nd pic was my very quick fix for what was ruined.
This was my first time ordering a cake online with Walmart. It was super easy to submit my order and pick it up. It was ready on time and everyone at the party remarked at how yummy it was. My only complaint is that I had to submit two orders for two cakes instead of letting me place one order. But I would take that any day for how cost effective it was!
It was a very pretty cake and delicious! The only problem was they didn't have the Bavarian cream filling. However, they did contact me ahead of time and gave me other options. I just really wanted the Bavarian cream. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.
This cake was not made the according to the picture everything that was supposed to be on the wasn't. Then didn't have no one to finish the cake and it was my daughter birthday, I had to pick up and finish cake.. Walmart bakery is horrible. Will not be purchasing and no more cake from them
My daughter became sick from her MRI. I couldn't come pick it up. The policy said they'd hold the cake for 48 hours. I called the bakery, the online order department, and tried to even get the operator multiple times and no one ever picked up. I then had my husband arrive the next day to pick up the cake and it was marked as if we had picked it up the day before. Honestly I won't order a cake from Walmart again and will just go back to Publix.
I honestly have to laugh because there's no way the cake I received for my daughter on 09/12–09/13/25 came from the same bakery I've trusted before. I've purchased cakes here in the past and they were always a solid 10/10. This time, it was completely different—the design and quality were horrible. Whoever worked on this order clearly needs more training or oversight. Very disappointing, especially for such an important occasion.
The cake was cracked, the icing was falling off the sides, and the princess crown was jammed in the cake. There is not a wand included like in the advertisement. The bow and sparkles are not edible. Picking up the cake was a hassle because even though my appointment time to pick up was 7pm- everyone working in the bakery had left early. Disappointed, and if I had time before the party, I would have returned the cake. Next time, I'm going to make my daughter's birthday cake myself like I normally do. This was an effort to limit some stress from myself, but overall wasn't worth it.
