I wish I got the woman's name at the bakery on S. Irby Street, Florence, SC because she is always so kind! She does a wonderful job every time I order a cake which I've been ordering from this Walmart several times this year. When I order to receive just as pictured! I do have one suggestion for the ordering online. There should be a section for alterations such as frosting color or extra filling. The cake is always moist and have a great taste! And always decorated beautifully!
I ordered this cake for a pink Minnie Mouse birthday theme, and it came out absolutely beautiful! The design was stunning, and the taste was just as amazing—moist, fresh, and delicious. Since they didn't have the exact theme available, I had to create my own idea, but the cake still turned out perfect and tied in with the celebration. Overall, I was very satisfied and would definitely order again!
i absolutely loved the cake. it was perfect. i took a sneak peak after she handed it to me in the bakery and it was so beaitiful. not a flaw in sight. i was very careful placing it in the cart and it not to let the box touch the cake. I had a few more things to pick up for a party (cups plates balloons etc.) and made sure to keep them in the top part of the cart away from the cake. i am a walmart member so i am able to do the scan and go so i did but when i went to check out i was flagged for an attendant to come and verify my purchases which im totally fine with and warned her there was a cake (already paid for when i ordered it with a paid sticker on top) in the box and it had a topper so i didnt want anything to be crushed but she could open it to check i jist asked that she be careful, but as she was choosing certain items to scan she slammed them down right on top of the cake box crushing the topper into the cake. i looked at the damage and the whole topper went straight into the cake to where i couldnt dig it out if i tried so it left a gaping hole right in the center of the cake, it had siken down all the way in. It was ruined before i even left the store because of an associate. i didnt get her name but she looked like a janet and was working self scan on Nov. 6th around 12. i choose not to go back to the bakery to have it remade because i know they worked hard on it and it wasnt their fault, i also needed it that day and worried there wouldnt be enough time to redo something so extravagant. i took it home and dug out the center topper and quickly made a fondant character i could cover the hole with. it was the whole center with about 2 inches on either side that wasnt sunken in by the topper so i made it worked. while she was scanning my items she also pushed the cake box to the side and by doing that she smushed the side of the cake into the box where there was no fixing that. it was just a smudge of frosting on half the cake's side destroyong the delicate design and leaving most of it on the side of the box. the cake decorators did a fabulous job. Janet needs to try stocking or working in the electronics because even after i told her to please be careful with the cake so it didnt get ruined she ignored me and ruined it twice. thanks janet. first picture shows how it looked when i was handed it from the bakery. 2nd pic was my very quick fix for what was ruined.
It was a very pretty cake and delicious! The only problem was they didn't have the Bavarian cream filling. However, they did contact me ahead of time and gave me other options. I just really wanted the Bavarian cream. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.
Bought for bday. Two small issues. The decorations I asked to be left off the top and they were not. The second was when I removed the crown and wand from top the layer of frosting on top was super thin so there was not enough frosting to smooth it out when I put my own decorations. On upside everyone loved the cake taste. It was choclate cake with bavarian cream. Everything else about the cake was perfect. The icing was fluffy and creamy.
The letters were a bit messy. The tiara and the wand came on the side in a plastic bag rather than on the cake. I thought it seemed to be done quickly rather than with love, which I suppose is what you get when you order from Walmart rather than an “at home” baker. All in all, it was ready on time. Packaged nicely. I'm not a fan of the texture of the cake itself. The icing was good and didn't have the “chemical taste”. This would be a good place to order if you need a quick, cheaper option. If you want a beautiful cake, go to a reputable baker in your area and order ahead. Was bought for my daughter's 6th birthday and she loved the way it looked after I put her tiara and wand on. That's all that matters. 🫶🏻
when i first got there the lady just handed me the cake and walked away. it was a cake for our daughters first birthday. i told my husband to look at it. it was completely smushed and smeared. we had to search for some help again and look for a worker. than she had to search for the decorator. she blamed it on the heat. said it melted. it had not. it was clearly smushed. she eventually fixed it. we were extra careful and took it back to our campground to celebrate hours later. it never melted after that. long wait to fix it and wouldnt of known hadnt i checked.
I will say this cake was very good. But unfortunately, the design was not up to par. I wasn't expecting it to look exactly like the cake, but I wanted something as close to it as possible. The writing for my daughter's name greeting was off-center. You could see some of the chocolate cake because it wasn't fully frosted, and that part was unfortunately in the front. I have attached a photo with my daughters name scratched out for reference.
Yes Didn't contact me till the day before to let me know they were out of the rhinestones for the cake. The person who called really didn't offer another solution, but the manager did call me back later and said that they can put glitter which that didn't happen either just was a white ribbon around the cake with icing so very disappointed for my daughter‘s first birthday. I asked for a discount and was told that they could not do that because I bought it online just no consideration for not having what was displayed on picture.
I honestly have to laugh because there's no way the cake I received for my daughter on 09/12–09/13/25 came from the same bakery I've trusted before. I've purchased cakes here in the past and they were always a solid 10/10. This time, it was completely different—the design and quality were horrible. Whoever worked on this order clearly needs more training or oversight. Very disappointing, especially for such an important occasion.
