I love things that are versatile and these lanterns hit the mark. They look great anywhere —hearth, mantel, porch, deck, table, coffee table, kitchen island, etc. You can easily customize the look for any holiday or occasion with a small floral pick or ribbon or place a wreath around one or both or encircle them with garland. The remote is great! Lights can flicker like a candle or have no flicker at all. Control brightness with the remote and set a timer for the lights to be on 2-4-6-8 hours and will come on the same time every day. Also love that there is no glass to clean. Bought 2 more sets (one for a gift) after the first set arrived. The lanterns come as a set of two — one bigger, one smaller — hooray! HEADS UP the lanterns are nested for shipping so there is only one box. Both lanterns are controlled with the same remote.

I like the style but wish they had glass panes. Very pretty lights with multiple options of 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours of run time. Remote to control is a great option. Only con is they require 8 AAA batteries. I'm curious as to how long the batteries last.

I ordered this set to put on the mantel in the new house I am moving to. I wanted a farmhouse look and it was a perfect look.

I was looking for solar lanterns and bought these not realizing they are battery operated (you need 8 AAA) and work with remote and a timer. I just have to remember to turn them on at dusk.

A little bit flimsy but otherwise very nice.
