I chose this beet powder because it was non-GMO. I would not recommend to someone who does not like the taste of beets. The beet flavor is very strong. I tried it with plain water, in a strawberry smoothie, and with my chocolate shake. The strawberries and the chocolate definitely covered up some of the beet flavor but not all of it. As far as endurance and stamina goes, it is difficult for me to tell a difference because I am always tired due to a chronic illness. Beets are very healthy so I would continue to use this just for beets benefits alone.
I started using this 2 weeks ago and I have increased strength to work out. This is a big deal in my weight loss journey and it have helped me push forward to achieve loss of 8pounds. Although I changed my diet it could be one of the added advantage in my weigh loss
I imagine this powder is very beneficial. I've heard a lot of good things. Maybe I haven't used it long enough yet but I don't feel anything yet. I'm hoping the extra energy will kick in... I need some of that. The powder smells pretty good, like Apple (as long as you don't take a deep whiff). It is very soluble and doesn't leave the liquid all gritty though, if you don't drink it fairly quickly it seems to settle and will need a quick stir. Flavor-wise, to me anyway, it doesn't taste like apple. I definitely taste the beets. It's not a big deal for me because I actually like beets. But you can also mix it with fruit punch and the flavor gets mostly covered up. Overall this is probably really good for you and I will continue to use it because of that.
This product is very strongly flavored! I might have made it a bit too strong the first time but even after adding water to the same cup after taking little sips and filling it back up it continued to be too strong to drink. I ended up having to dump it out. I will try again after I forget about the taste! It is also pretty chalky. It might be better to mix into warm water and then add ice??
I've only been using this once per day for a week and maybe it's a placebo effect but I do feel more energetic . after lunch I'm usually sluggish and would rather take a nap than go back to work but not now, I drink a glass of this Better Beet Juice with my lunch and I'm more alert. The taste isn't bad either, it has a hint of an earthy note. I do wish it dissolved completely , I have to stir it a few times in between gulps. I will most likely continue to purchase. I have terrible circulation , I'm hoping in time it will improve that but I don't have high hopes only because the vein procedures really didn't help either. It certainly can't hurt.
I know beets are considered a superfood and are supposed to be really good for you... Unfortunately I've just never liked them. When I had the opportunity to try this beet powder I thought surely it would taste better than plain beets. It says Apple flavor.... it taste more like fruit punch to me with maybe just a hint of beets.... it definitely smells like beets so I kind of have to hold my breath while I'm drinking it. Ingredients are organic beet powder, Organic Apple flavor, citric acid and Stevia leaf extract. The label claims that this formula helps support healthy blood pressure levels, healthy circulation, nitric oxide production and improved energy and stamina.
I have never heard of beet powder before and I was looking forward to trying it! The package says that it supports your blood pressure/flow and stamina with naturally occurring nitrates, and boosts endurance, energy and circulation. I like that it is gluten free. The package says you should mix the powder with 8 oz of liquid, which I did. It has a lovely red color and smells like beets! That shouldn't have surprised me but the smell is very strong! My first few sips it tasted like apple (one of the ingredients is apple flavor) and then it was beets, which are not my favorite. I think I could have overlooked the beet flavor, but this powder is sweetened with Stevia and I just do not like the flavor of Stevia. I don't think that this is a product I will use, but I do think that it has unique benefits and would be great for people who like Stevia.
This is my first time ever using a beet powder. I like that this is made from organic beets. I honestly wasn't a fan of the apple flavor at first. I decided to try mixing it in apple juice and that definitely made a huge difference in the taste for me. I haven't been using it long however I have noticed I have a little more energy then usual.
It's kind of difficult to evaluate the health benefits of this supplement. One thing I want to point out is to be very careful when opening the package. There is a perforated strip you should use to release the lid. Don't tear all the plastic wrap off because I think that's all the information about the product. It says to mix a scoop with 8 oz of water but I just happened to tear right where the “8” was so I wasn't sure whether it was 6 or 8 oz. The manufacturer responded very quickly to say it's 8 oz. There aren't any recommendations as far as when to take it, but the plastic wrap does have info indicating there are 30 servings, so I'd assume one glass a day. It also doesn't indicate whether you drink before, during or after meals. That is one reason I took one star away. Other reason is how the plastic wrap seems to be the sole source of info, so if you tear it up or remove it, I don't think there's info on the container. It tastes like beets. I like beets. I've been adding a bit more water, after I drink the original serving, to swish around the glass to catch what stuck to the sides of the glass. Also, upon opening the brand new container, the contents appeared to be half of what the container could hold. The container sets an expectation... then you open it and there's only half the amount I expected.
I was really excited to try this beet powder because, while I absolutely hate beets, I love the health benefits that comes with the consumption of beets. What I liked about this product before I tried it was that it was apple flavor and sweetened with stevia. I was worried about it tasting like beets because, again, I hate beets. I think they taste like dirt, so I was apprehensive about trying it. I mixed the powder, according to the directions, in a bottle of water (the water was room temperature). I shook the bottle A LOT. I also shook the bottle every time I was about to take another sip. I was pleasantly surprised at the taste; the beet taste was very minimal..it was there, but for me, it was tolerable because the sweetness of the apple and the stevia helped tremendously. The only reason I give this 3 stars is because of the grit. I did not notice the grit when I took sips from the bottle when the bottle was full or half empty, but once I got to the bottom, that was where all the powder settled and never dissolved. Again, I tried this on room temperature water and shook it a lot. Maybe if I let it sit out for a long period of time, it might help, or maybe if I heat it up, it may help too, but I have not tried that so I can not say for sure. I will keep playing around with it because I did like the taste and I love the benefits. I hope I can find away to reduce the grit because it was really hard to drink when I got to the bottom of the bottle. I recommend this product on taste and health benefits and if there is a way to completely dissolve the powder, then this would be 5 stars in my opinion.
