Mechanics Choice
I knew the reputation of this product before I purchased and it didn't let me down. I worked a number of years in the wholesale / retail auto parts industry. Permatex and Loctite were big sellers and most garages swore by them

Works great for exhaust manifolds!
I've read where rtv sealant can't withstand high heat but so far this product seems to be working on a small leak in my f150 manifold

This stuff works where you need to have gasket in high temps.

Worth the Extra Money
One of the best sealers. It gasoline resistant and does not harden so is great for applications like carburetor base where you might want to reuse gaskets. Worth a little extra money.

Copper RTV = KING
Can't go wrong with copper rtv. Good for high temp/pressure stuff, good for my 700hp Turbo Mustang gaskets for no leaks.
