Perri's Stainless Steel Fillis Stirrup Iron (Stainless Steel, 4.25")

I am pretty much a no-frills person when it comes to irons. I can't stand the flexible ones and just like a larger (4.75 or 5 inch) iron. I bought these for my new-to-me dressage saddle, and they fit the bill. Plenty heavy, which I like, clean and pretty. The minute my foot is in the stirrup, I don't notice them anymore, which is just what I like.

These are a good all-purpose stirrup with a good weight to them. They appear durable and well-made. I just changed to these from composite stirrups that I had used for years.

I absolutely love these irons! they fit me perfectly and i was worried because i have large feet. These are very nice quality and are very simple. They look great with any leathers! Would definitely buy these again!

I'm not a big fan of the fancy, springy stirrups that people are using these days. They make my feet move forward instead of staying under my knees. I don't have that problem with these stirrups. The stirrups feel substantial in a nice way and seem like they will last forever.

I had gone from Sprenger Bowflex to jointed irons about 2 years ago. Did not plan to go back to the classic because it seemed too heavy and clumsy next to the "sexier" irons on the market today. Decided to try the classic after reading yet another rant by Morris about stirrup irons. Well, they didn't change my life, but they sure made my balance better and my leg more secure.

I've always ridden in just plain ole Fillis stirrups and have always liked them. I've ridden in other saddles with jointed and hinged stirrups but honestly can't tell a difference. That said, I also don't suffer from back, leg or feet issues. They're a great basic stirrup!

I have used these irons daily since receiving them a few weeks ago. They are a nice weight. I hope the finish lasts, but if it doesn't, the price was right and I'll order another pair for showing.

I purchased two sets of these, and they do the job. The white pads that originally came on them wore out super quickly, the plastic started eroding and literally wore all the way through. BUT replacements are inexpensive and easy to come by (really I prefer black anyways), so no big deal. I expect they'll last for years.

I bought these less than two months ago. I was trying to save money but was sick of moving my stirrups leathers and stubben irons from one saddle to another. I settled on these, they looked great, were reviewed well. They're a great weight, fit wonderfully and looked good. UNTIL they started rusting in spots all over them. It's been a humid summer, but this is ridiculous. I wish I'd waited and spent the money on another pair of Stubbens. I have had them from nearly 15 years, they get daily use in the sun, rain and snow, and still look as good as the day I bought them. So dissappointed.

The pads that came with the irons are a material that rubs off on the saddle and leathers and leaves a sticky residue. My black Passier leathers and Prix St. George saddle are stained with white streaks which I can't seem to clean off. I am extremely disappointed with this product and would not recommend purchasing these stirrups if you want to keep your tack in good condition.
