Perry Mason: The Complete Movie Collection

OK, on to my review… I love Perry Mason—books, TV series, movies. In these movies, which take place decades after the show ends, Raymond Burr still makes a perfect Perry Mason. Barbara Hale is still a beautiful Della Street. Paul Drake is replaced by his "son," Paul Drake Jr., played by William Katt, who in real life is Barbara Hale's real son. I love him in this role, and he looks enough like the original Paul Drake (William Hopper) to be totally believable as his son. And let's not forget the guest stars—big names back then, and also those who were just starting out and not yet well known. There's a lot more action in these movies than in the TV show, like more car chases. Not my personal favorite, but they do liven things up. As for disk quality, the movies themselves are sharp and clear; the sound is good. As reviewers have mentioned, the case isn't great. Fifteen disks in one case! I store all my disks in DVD binders, and I recommend them. They save space and are a safer home for your DVDs. You also don't have to dig through all the disks to find that specific one. One reviewer here complained that she couldn't tell what order the movies were released, but the disks are numbered. It's just hard to see, because the letters are silver on a light gray background. Centered at the top of every disk it says… PERRY MASON MOVIE COLLECTION DOUBLE FEATURE %23 %23 = the number of each disk, from 1 to 15. I was impressed when "Perry Mason Returns" was first televised. It was nice to find all 30 movies together and at a reasonable price. This allowed me to catch up on some favorites and view others that I had not seen yet. The collection also comes in a sturdy case which looks good on the bookshelf as well as protecting the contents.

It is hard to give a 100% review. I have only watched a few of the CDs. So far so good.

Perry Mason movie collection is a must have for your collection. From a time where TV was worth watching.

Pros: Complete collection of Perry Mason TV movies from the 80s and 90s. 15 DVDs - 2 movies per DVD - 30 total Great price Cons: Case is not very well made. Best to transfer DVDs to other media storage (I used paper sleeves)

Love Perry and was priced great watched 4of the movies so far.

Packaging is goofy to get disks out. I understand minimalist size thought but disks get caught on housing and flip out

This review, in no way rates the actual Perry Mason movie collection content. My review is not good for the terrible way the discs are crammed in to cheap plastic holders that scratch the discs and make it almost impossible to take a disc out of the holders. Raymond Burr is brilliant and William Katt is great in these movies = 5 stars but Zer0 stars for the packaging and picture quality.
