Beautiful and solid. Great crate and appearance as a piece of furniture. Easy to put together 10 minutes.
I saw this product had very bad reviews on just about every site I checked. I saw it on Walmart for the cheapest I found it anywhere so I thought I would give it a try ! The set up was very easy, but I was so angry when I got to the end because they had forgotten a hole for the door. No, I didn't put it backwards or anything - everyone asked. The back side has specific holes that lined up just right with the sides and top. So I couldn't add the door and had to wait for my boyfriend to get home to drill a hole for it. Now that it's together it is very pretty and goes nice in my living room. I wouldn't say my dog loved it at first, but he goes in there fine now and we haven't had any issues with it. The crate is very light tho he can push it around if he wants something that's behind it. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.
Looks good. Easy to assemble, sturdy but if you have a puppy, don't bother. They'll chew through it like mine did. Wood slats are too soft for sharp puppy teeth. Would be great for a mature dog.
It looks really nice. It was very easy to put together but it doesn't keep my dog in well. The lock just stays in place by gravity. If my dog scratches the door enough the lock just pops open. Also the “hinges” are not strong at all. My dog broke them off after a month of having this crate. So, now it's useless without a door. I don't have a wild dog. He is 35lbs, very well mannered and uses the crate as his den. I imagine if your putting your dog in while your gone they won't be “locked in”. Overall, it looks nice but doesn't serve its purpose well.
The designer(s) didn't think it all the way through! The table crate is beautiful but why on earth would the door not be secure with a hole for the bottom peg? I can't open the doors without them falling off. It's no wonder other people's fur babies have busted easily through! My husband will be drilling holes and switching out the hardware to secure the doors. I highly recommend adding Loctite to the pegs while putting it together to reinforce the pegs and screws. After putting the 1st crate together, it seemed a bit unstable so we used Loctite on the 2nd crate. It worked wonders! I love the look and how much room my fur babies have inside. They may have too much room as my babies are only 8 and 12 lbs. My last recommendation, if you have a larger dog, please consider reinforcing the inside with metal bars of some sort. My husband will be taking apart a metal crate and adding it to the walls on the INSIDE so my boy cannot chew the wood.
This is truly lovely to look and and was easy to assemble. The bad news was day 3 we came how to our dog standing in the living room with the door of the crate around his middle . Now it is a bed/catch all in our bedroom. Perhaps door should be more reinforced and bars should not be made of wood. Sad it did not work for us :(
The wood slats on the sides are not very secure. The top piece did not fit into each predrilled hole. The pre drilled hole for the door pin was not deep enough. Not worth $104- $140.
I was very excited to receive this and hate writing bad reviews. It was on the cheaper side of the beautiful wooden dog crates (some run so expensive and this was very reasonable), so we went with it. Was missing the right holes on the right sides of the pieces to be drilled in, my husband had to make new holes himself, so setup was difficult and he's quite handy. Once it was complete, it was gorgeous, I was very pleased with the color and overall design. That said, the minute I tried to move it across the room, it literally fell apart. The roof came off, the sides came apart. Within a few days the door feel right off. The worst thing however was that our puppy's head got stuck in the design. There should be a much more clear indication for this product of the size of animal you should have to buy this. He almost snapped his neck on the front of it.
Color not even close to grey. It's brown and the crate sent was marked grey on the box but was tan/light brown.
This sucked several hours of my weekend away. The predrilled holes are misaligned and 2 of the 6 wood pegs were split apart. Substandard merchandise. Do not buy. Better off building your own with the work involved in putting together. FYI, I've assembled many out-of-the-box products from other vendors before with complete success. It's the product, not the end user.
