Petmaker Self Warming Pet Cat Bed, Gray

I use the pet pad for my farm cats. They seem to like it, I don't speak kitty but they seem to be happy to have a soft warm place to sleep.

i was expecting the mat to be a little thicker and more insulated,but doesn't matter because my dog ripped it to shreds.

I wasn't sure after reading reviews how my senior cat would like this, but for the price I figured I'd bite. It was a Xmas gift for him, and he IMMEDIATELY loved it when I placed him on it for the first time. He's 15 and gets cold easily, so I put it on top of our freezer so it's always warm. He's on it more than he's off it lol.

My cat liked it to the point she offered me a dog treat and told me I was a good boy!

This is not soft. Its jist a mat. But I always add my own stuffing for pet beds as I do not like what I find. It sounds like a bag of potato chips. The dogs were not sure at 1st but love it. My husband laid on the floor with the dogs and shared the bed with one of them and he could feel the heat/warm

I have an older dog nearing the end of her life so she's always cold. It's cushy on one side and waterproof on the other. Directions say to remove the insert before washing. I opened it to take the insert out, and it was upside down, the shiny side was on bottom and batten was on top. I carefully peeled it off the top layer hoping not to damage it. Instead of a quick wipe with cleaner, I had to take it outside and douse it with oxiclean, let it work about an hour then rinse it over the deck railing. Luckily it survived. After washing the cover I slid it back in with the silver side up.

It's bigger than I expected, so fits in the doghouse fine. I have 2 medium sized dogs, and they can both fit on it, if they snuggle, which they do. It seems thin, tho, and it crinkles when you move it around. But, I think it works, and with freezing weather, had to have something.

Feral Cats will NOT use it, even after I washed it.

This product is very cheaply made and does not hold up to the movement of animals (dogs or cats). The cats did sleep on it but they will sleep on a paper towel tossed on the floor too. The Mylar mat on the inside was placed in the casing backwards so there was no reflective heat. And the insulating padding did little to prevent cold from seeping through. Zippers in 2 of them broke within a week.

This product is not a pet bed it is a COVER for a dog bed with a thin, single thin mylar insert for reflecting heat. Ours was delivered, folded, in small plastic package. There is zero cushioning for an animal to sleep on. Too good to be true I guess. Buyer beware, you are not getting a pet bed. The pictures on Walmart's website are deceptive and lead you to believe you are getting a cushioned bed when making the purchase.
