Took him not even 30 mins total (kids slowed down some time since they are little and wanted to help) Our cat Loki loves it. He is sitting up on the top bed as I write this. I like that it's not huge but not tiny either. It's a great size definitely worth the purchase.

It's a good height for birdwatching out the window but truly kinda small for large cats; the platform with the large scratching post is small but Miss B is petite and makes it work. Would be perfect for kittens but fine for small cats. It was easy to build with simple instructions and durable / heavy components that should last and serve its purpose.
