This collar was purchased for our large domestic cat. He is a bigger guy and weighs near 15 pounds. We purchased the small. It fits well with enough room to expand. The collar has the Michigan Wolverine block “M” and text reads “Go Blue.” It is not a bulky or heavy collar, it is suitable for our cat in a small size. The collar clasp that connects one end to the other is not breakaway safe. I assume this is because the collar is likely made to fit a canine dog. Our cat is indoor, so it is not an issue to purchase this as he has less unsafe situation's in the house like a fence or trees where the collar may become a strangulation issue. The thickness and diameter of the collar is suitable for our cat, even though he has a medium length hair that often covers the collar from view. There was not a bell attached when purchased, so we used the old bell from his feline cat collar and attached it to the Michigan collar. Our cat usually scratches at his neck collar and neck when wearing one, but we have not observed him doing this as often since we purchased it a few weeks ago. It will take several months to see if the collar is durable enough to withstand his scratching and movement from rubbing on furniture.
