PetSafe Busy Buddy Kibble Nibble Dog Toy, Treat Dispenser, Medium/Large

I bought this to slow help my retreiver puppy use up some of his energy and satisfy his need to chew everything. It helped for about a week then he figured out how to open the whole thing. Now I just pull it out as a fun game for him once in a while.

Unfortunately, this item did not work as intended. Wanted to use as a food dispenser for my pit-mix who eats too quickly. It was almost impossible to get the kibble out through the holes on either end (even for me). He got frustrated and started chewing and after only a few minutes the ball was damaged and I couldn't open it. Took me 10 minutes to slowly shake most of the kibble out and then I had to throw it away.

This a great toy. It does call for the appropriate size kibble. We feed small Breed Royal Canine and it is prefect. It slows my dog from wolfing her food and keeps her happy and busy for 30 minutes

I have 3 pits. youngest loved this toy and even hollered at the older one who was trying to chew it. she always thought they were gonna wreck it or do it wrong so she rolled it while they stood back. I just put their food in it. she ate the food in here more than in her bowl. it helps the fast eaters slow down and not get sick. however she rolls it quite aggressively and it popped open one night and the dog #2 chewed the grooves that hold it together. but daddy the machinist fixed it in his shop. YEAH! we have hard time keeping toys. they usually don't last long at all 10 min tops. but this one did last long time. YEAR! the mushroom version of this toy has lasted even longer! its been over a year and it still works great!

I used the Busy Buddy with my 5 month old puppy. He is extremely active and needs allot of activity. I decided to just use his food to put inside and it worked well. He spent about 45 minutes rolling and pushing it around to get all the treats out. Whenever I need to keep him occupied for awhile I can just give this to him and keep him busy. I also like the fact that you can put a variety of different treats in it. Do make sure to put it up when your dog is done because mine tried to chew it afterwards. I received this item for free to test and review with my dogs, the following has been my experience. First issue was that the holes for the food to come out of was too small, so we had to trim away some of the material to allow it to escape. The second and biggest issue is that the egg shape of the toy didn't allow for easy exit of the food when my dogs played with it. They both got discouraged and walked away from the toy. I think if it were round like a ball and had better holes to allow the food to escape more easily then my dogs would've enjoyed this toy a lot more. I bought the large kibble nibble and the mushroom toy for my dogs 9 years ago. My rotti x and kelpie used them every day for 3 years then we added to our collection so we could rotate them. They have now also been through14 foster dogs over the past 4 years. We do pick them up after they have eaten. It is finally time to replace them. Our rotti has since passed on but out 12 year old kelpie still loves this and the mushroom the best out of all the interactive toys. Be mindful when putting together as you can thread it incorrectly and it's tough to undo. Durable and awesome toy. Worth every cent.

I requested this toy in the larger size for my 55 pound dog. I was disappointed that within 1 hour the toy broke. The hard plastic didn't hold up to being thrown even a short distance. My dog is 11 years old and I figured he would love playing with it since he is also treat driven. The toy was being thrown in our yard by my daughter. It could have broke because of her throwing it too hard instead of rolling it. My dog did seem to like it and was challenged by it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just tried this for the 1st time with our Lily. Wanted something mentally stimulating to go along with exercise, if she gets bored she will eat things she shouldn't etc. Also need something to slow down her eating too fast. At first I gave her 1/3 cup and had to keep coaxing and showing her how to do it. Then I cut the plastic pieces down to make it easier for food to come out and later gave her another 2/3 cup. She really got into it and ate the rest of the food from it. It kept her entertained for quite a while and was a good challenge for her once she got the hang of it!

I have a 50lb puppy who inhaled her food. In testing the product, I found it easy to fill and clean as compared to similar products. My puppy was frustrated at how slow the food is dispensed and has to work very hard to get the food. As it is egg-shaped, it always rolls back to the side. It works better on carpet than on hard surfaces. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
