I'm very happy with this fence and my dogs are too! Instructions were perfect and I love that it came with two collars. I've had the pet safe wireless system, which was great for the last 10yrs but only did a circle area. With this fence my dogs can roam our entire yard with us!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This PetSafe classic in-ground fence gives me peace of mind when knowing my dog is safe when playing outdoors in my backyard. Installing the perimeter fence was very easy. The installation guide was very easy to read and follow, so the complete setup was completed in no time. I love the flexibility of 500 ft. of boundary wire I had for customizing the desired area for my dog.The rechargeable collar is waterproof, and it quickly recharges in 2-3 hours. The collar has eight different levels of correction for teaching my dog his new boundaries. I started with the first level with a tone and vibration .The vibration setting is also helpful for pets who are hard of hearing. So far, my dogs' training is going very well and with no issues. Now my dog gets to enjoy the outdoors without any danger of running off .
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a bullboxer we rescued. She's a handful but very sweet. She's Also protective of her hoomans and home but we live by a road so she's been limited in play. We bought and put up a kennel,we got runners but nothing really gave her the excersize she needed and us the peace of mind we needed. There are lots of animals in the neighborhood but most are in their inground fence. We thought we would try it since so many of our friends have had success and we are blown away! It's very gentle and she has been so much happier since being allowed to run out the door.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed this by myself, and I'm not technically savvy. It took me a very long time to bury the wire, but that's okay because it works whether you bury it or not. The hardest part was calibrating the boundary distance. I have a Shiba Inu puppy who likes to slip his harness and we live right against a VERY busy road. A physical fence is much too pricey for the size of my yard, so we decided the best option was an invisible fence. I followed the included training guide to a tee, and Larry learned it very well. I had also purchased extra flags because I wanted to put up a lot of them to help him learn his boundaries. I have now started to remove every other flag and he's doing great. One mistake I had made that I learned quickly to fix is that the collar was too loose. You must put the collar on tight enough. The book says how tight but I had given some wiggle room because he's a puppy. That mistake instantly became known when a man walked his dog past and little Larry waltzed right out of the yard to go meet the new friends. Zero reaction was given to the shocks. Since I tightened the collar that hasn't happened again. The collar looks uncomfortable, but Larry is very good at telling us if he doesn't like something, and he doesn't mind it. It's quite bulky for a 15-lb pup like him, but he got used to it very quickly and it doesn't seem to bother him at all. I have tested the collar on myself at level 5 and it grabs your attention but does not hurt. Larry only needs level 3 to stay in the boundary. This fence is a lifesaver. People fly down my road very fast and Larry slips his harness sometimes, so this fence keeps him safe in his yard and off the road, even when he sees a squirrel or cat! He still isn't afraid to go on daily walks, which is very important. I was worried it might negatively impact his walks because of fear of crossing the line, but he knows that if he hears no beep there is no correction, so he never thinks twice about crossing the line for walks.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very excited to use my new classic dog fence. My puppies will love the new found freedom of being able to run around the yard without being on a leash. I will love the fact that I do not have to worry about them running out in the street. This was very easy to install on a Saturday afternoon the instructions were clear and simple for me to install basically by myself. I had help to make it go faster but at one person could've actually done most of it. The training guide seems very self-explanatory as well and I am looking forward to teaching my dogs how to use the system so it will keep them safe while they play in the backyard. I would highly recommend this unit as a simple way to keep your baby safe.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This underground fence is very easy to use and install. It can provide owners a couple of acres if need be. Just place it under the ground and put the special collar on them and when they try to go over it it will zap them and help keep them in the yard and out of the garage in the house. I definitely recommend this product, good quality and comfortable on the dog too.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our first in-ground fencing system, so we have nothing to compare it to, but so far, it lives up to our expectations. The set up was very easy and not difficult at all. I was able to set everything up myself. My dog knows where the boundaries are and stays within the range allowed. It works great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I set this up for my dog just to have that extra protection that she will not wonder off. It is easy set up and so far has been working great. It is a little bit of a learning curve for me and my dog but we are quick learners. So far I am very happy with it.
These work great! The only problem is the little cover that goes over the charging port on the collars. It doesn't stay closed and I'm afraid the charging port is going to end up ruined by all the dirt and debris my dogs roll in.
Save yourself the time headache and money I used Petsafe in ground fence system for over 15 years and loved it. Everything about this system however is poor quality. After Wasting time and money I returned this system.
