PetSafe Happy Ride Safety Harness for Dogs, Comfortable and Durable, Small

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace the harness I currently use because I wanted a way to anchor it to my car seat when we go for rides. This is a quality harness. It has enough adjustment points to ensure a good fit without being too snug or loose. It's well make with thick materials so I'm not worried about it failing when in use. I have a dog harness tether that I connect at the grab handles in my back seat so it allows her to move from side to side of the car but not much front to rear. This replaced my old harness for everything so we use this for walks and anytime I need to use a harness.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This safety harness works great! It's easy to setup in your car by attaching the tether to your car's seat belt. The harness itself doesn't seem to bother my dog at all. It has a breathable mesh liner and is padded as well. I like that I can also use this same harness for walks by attaching it to a leash.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have three small dogs who frequently ride in the backseat of our car. After an emergency stop which resulted in the dogs sliding off the seat onto the floor, it became obvious we needed to secure them in some manner. We started with leashes tied to the head rests. This proved to be ineffective for a couple of reasons. Next, we ordered some harnesses that required two snaps to put on. If the dogs squirmed around the right way, they could escape from this harness. I then found the Happy Ride harness. It is easier to put on the dogs, has only one snap to contend with and has loops on the back that can be used to pick up the dog if necessary. The seat belt in the car can easily slip through the loops, safely securing the dog. The loops can also be used to attach a longer strap (which comes with a carabiner) to the harness and can function as a leash. The harness has buckles that allow you to adjust it to comfortably fit the dog. The sizes are determined by the weight of the dog. I got a small size which says it will fit dogs 6 to 20 pounds. My smallest dog was right at 20 pounds, so I really should have gotten the medium harness and adjusted it to fit with the buckles. I will be getting two more Happy Ride harnesses for my other two dogs.

I felt SO much safer with her in this harness! I really think she did also! Very easy to use, we are all super happy. Buy this! Safety first!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always carried my dogs in a crate when we travel, thinking they are safer than being loose in the car. I do understand that my lightweight crate will fly very easily so I wanted a more secure way to take the dogs. This harness system is an easy design to install and gives the dog some freedom to change positions without a problem. I am not happy with the vest, it is a little small and when I adjusted it to fit it seams uncomfortable and ill fitting. It does get the job done as far a securing the dog but I may have to shop for a different vest to use with the security system.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I m happy with this car harness for my 17 lb pup. It took me a little time to figure it out, but once I did, she was secure . She was able to adjust herself but never got out! Stayed in the back seat and wasn't able to come up front so it was safe for both of us. She is secure and seems happy in it. It is padded for comfort , not heavy and seems as if it is going to last! There is a separate leash attachment which makes it easy to stop for potty breaks or walks. Happy with it!

Was very excited to get this product. The harness is sturdy and well made. But I can't reccomend this product if you have moderate to severe RA. Unless you have help. It was impossible to adjust the harness straps. And after 15 or 20 minutes of struggling, I had to give up. It is also hard for people with cognative disorders, as the directions that come in the box, are vague and confusing. I am now waiting for relatives to visit, so I can get this fitted to my dog. Because of such stellar reviews, I'm hoping, I will still be able to use the harness.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was alright. The harness seemed a bit big for my dog who's small 9 lbs. I didn't understand to well how to tie them up or whatever.
