Bought this almost 5 yrs ago. 1 Poddle, 2 Cockapoos, 1 Chihuahua and 2 Yorkies later we find it a great investment. Placed it between the kitchen and living area under a window and lots of compliments. I just replaced the door flaps and noticed that the brackets holding the flaps are very delicate. The handy man that installed my doggie door cracked them in 2 pieces but I didn’t know until I noticed replacing the flaps. Be careful when installing. Again, 2 thumbs up for this product.

Very difficult to install. I’m unsure of how quality it is yet but it was not an easy installation.

I do like the flap area for the dogs to go in and out but the cover to close off the dog door in a pain. It is very hard to get off once it is on...It is difficult for older individuals like me to get it off to let the dogs out at night. I do not like it as much as the old style that just slid in and out.

Honestly this isn’t the greatest. If I’d know what the cover for the dog door was like I would have never bought this. But it’s already in my door so whatever. But the cover sucks at stay on the dog door and when you do get it on it’s so hard to get off. Please change it to a normal cover that slides up and down

I have purchased many Petsafe Pet doors over the years. And each time I get one the quality has went down. This latest model that I purchased I’m rather disappointed in the design. I wish companies would stop and think. I just purchased a medium plastic door for my new home. Installation was to be expected. But the design! The inside black part that goes inside the cut door isn’t one piece anymore so they don’t even line up correctly. It even mentions it might not, so them please tell me why in the word you would want most of the black part on the outside exposed to the rain and elements! That doesn’t make sense. After I put it up I had to reread the directions because I thought I put it on the door backwards. I ended up taking off and putting the outside door on the inside of the house and the inside part on the outside. It works much better that way and keep the elements from getting inside my home. But the sucky part is, I can not longer lock the door for the inside. So which is worse? Letting the elements and rain get inside my door, or not being able to lock the door unless it’s locked from outside? All you have to do is make it lockable on both of the deal pieces. Then people can have it either way. But the cheap black plastic framing exposed to the rain and bugs and everything else. NO. If I didn’t already have a huge hole cut in my door I’d return it.

Lots of plastic parts. The back and the front dont fit together well. they porvode black plasric inserts to cut to seal the gaps but they dont stay in. the single flap blows open easily. The cover to close the gap is difficult to put on becasue it snaps in place. ut you dont snap it it just right it falls off. when you do snapnit right it is almost impoaaible to remive when you want the door to accessible again. I bought a large. the size was appropraite foe my 65 lb cattle dog mix.

Not at all what was advertised, way too small. Bringing it back.
