So far so good. Its for our mean cat who blocks and marks wi dies food and any litter box weve attempted to add for the other cat. We had to try something when a new rescue kitten arrived. After 15 years this only on when Im away plus adding feliway to several aroma diffusers has allowed him to be calm and happy and part of the family full time. It does go through walls and I accidentally scared him from the bathroom when he followed me in and I didnt realize the device was on the floor in the room behind us. Harmless, I keep it loose and remove it every day. But wickedly funny for the most frustrating cat in the world to get checked.

Some people don't know how this stuff works, and when they dont use it properly- it of course wont work. Do not be fooled, because it does! So the main things to know are make sure it is snug on the animal. If it's too loose, it won't work. It doesnt need to be tight- but for cats especially it needs to be snug!! One major thing, which is kind of a safety feature- is that it will not just shock your animal right away. It gives a beep before it does send a shock. So if your cat runs super fast past it, in and out of the barrier set- it at the most will send a beep and not a shock depending how fast your cat is. So if youre trying to block off a large area, and your cat bolts past it- this device will not "work". Its intended to be ethical and give the animal a chance to back off - aka the beep. So, it works! You just need to know how to use it correctly!

We live on a busy street and our kitty is an escape artist. We need to leave the dog door open for the labs but the cat learned how to use it easily. She wears her collar during the day, we close the dog door at night and the collar comes off. She is 9 years old and still with us! Batteries in the collar get changed every 2 months peace of mind. This is our 3rd unit and we love it.

I purchased this item because I have two puppies that are just turning six months old and indoor training them was difficult with the two of them. I purchased two complete kits and set the monitors up so my two puppies could be confined to a large space in the house without have gates all over. The monitors have proven to be a great training device and within a week the two dogs didn't even have to wear their colars that came with the set becuase they were aware of their zones. I would use this product again and would recommend it to a friend.

I got the PawzAway collar for my 2 Great Danes because I had moved to a different house and there were 3 small carpeted areas I did not want them on (they have their own carpet I can just throw in the wash). The first day they learned very quickly were not to go. The second day, I woke up to one on my sofa that, of course, was on the carpet! I tested her collar and it beeped but did not “correct”. I called the customer service line and the kindest person I’ve ever spoken to in customer service anywhere was very helpful and sent me a replacement collar expedited. Both collars have been working great ever since.

This product worked beautifully for the first five weeks it was in use with my puppy. Then it seemed to stop working. I don't know if it was the unit that emitted the sensor or the collar around my puppy's neck, but my puppy was no longer confined kitchen and family room like I wanted her to be. When I picked up the sensor unit and held the collar in my hand, it buzzed me like it was supposed to, but for some reason it was no longer effective when around her neck. Puzzled, confused, and disappointed.

I've had mine for years, but build quality of the battery holder is absolute garbage. I've lost count of how many battery holders I've bought through the years. Why they're not made with a higher quality plastic where they don't break from simply opening the battery compartment to change the batteries is beyond me. It's almost like they designed it to fail on purpose.

The product is very straight forward and the step-by-step instructions are easy to follow. The range of the disc is what proved too challenging for us. No matter what setting we used, we either got too much, or not enough, signal. Either would have proved counterproductive for keeping our four legged friend off the countertops. Worked with very friendly and helpful customer service for an easy return. Per Safe are great people to deal with; very jealous of those for whom this product did work!

Complete Junk! I bought this in hopes to keep my little fur baby from running outside everytime we opened the door and having to chase him down and worry about him getting hurt or hit by a car. After installing the batteries and getting the collar put on him and setting the base near the door I tested the barrier and adjusted the settings to make it cover just enough space for the area around the front door. After getting everything set up and the collar placed on him, I went about my day and waited and watched to see if the device was working properly as I went in and out side a few times and watched to see the result . I was disappointed that it seemed to have NO effect on my pet at all!! So I went back read the instructions again front to back and I checked all the batteries and also trimmed the hair short on the little guys neck ( like almost bare) like it states in the instructions…. Still no impact on his behavior near the door, I could hear the beeping and he just sat there and had no reaction. I’m super disappointed because I really needed the peace of mind that my fur baby is safe even when I’m not home and not have worry that someone let him outside. I may have gotten a defective device, because I need to have something just like this but In working condition!
