PetSafe Rechargeable In-Ground Fence for Dogs and Cats +5lb., Waterpoof, Tone and Static

Easy install, just had to score the ground and tuck it in. Wiring in the garage was also easy. Doesn't come with twisted wire make sure to order separately. I also bought different flags. The ones that came with it were small and not very visible.

We live in a suburban neighborhood with a lot of people walking their dogs by our home. The system works so well, my dog will not even attempt to cross the fence to visit other dogs. My 14 year old son and I installed the In-Ground fence in about four hours. Installation time will obviously vary based on the size of your yard. We used an edger to cut the ground in the yard. However, the fence only went down a few inches (like maybe 4" max). The problem with this is if you use shovels and stab them in the ground, you risk cutting the wire (which I've done 2 times in the last 4 months) but that is an easy repair as long as you know where the cut happened. If not, there is a fix for that too. My poor planning resulted in me not having enough wire. I did not realize that in order to have the fence work at intended with the maximum distance, it needs to loop all the way around and back which means 2 times the amount of wire that I originally thought. So make sure you plan this out carefully. Once we did it, the fence works great. The dog quickly learned how far he could go. Afterwards we would sometimes let the dog outside without his collar (not recommended) and he would not break the fence. I liked this system so much, I bought another system to install at my in-laws home for their dog!

Works great, I like that you can change the settings on each collar. I have 3 dogs and one is stubborn so I can set hers at a higher setting.

Set up was easy. The training was smooth too just follow the manual.

Works like a charm. Dont bother with any other brands. This one is it!

Bought this system to replace an older system for which I could no longer get replacement collars. Was able to use the existing wires. We have 8 acres mixed swamp, forest, field enclosed. Use it with German Shorthair Pointers and Viszlas (currently one of each). Problem free for years. Recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our dog keeps getting out of our fence in our backyard so we decided to give this PetSafe Rechargeable In-Ground fence system a try. The system comes with easy to read instructions and we even googled YouTube videos just to have some extra help with set up. The install was fairly easy and now after using it for a few weeks our dog has become used to the perimeters. We actually set it up in our front yard because of our dog getting out of our backyard and the street traffic is so bad. We were afraid she was going to get it. The collar is rechargeable and she is used to it now. We are so happy with this system because it helps keep our dog safe!!

This fence works great, but it was finicky to set up. The wires have to be inserted just the right distance, but not too far or the box thought the wire loop was broken. It took us a while to figure that out. In the process the spring popped out of one of the wire clamps so it was useless, but we found the spring and my husband was able to fix it. I really wish there was just a screw we could wrap the wire around and tighten, which would feel much more stable. Everytime we moved the thing, the wires popped out, up till we got it into it's final resting space. We're a little worried the box will get bumped and a wires will come loose again. I will say that when we thought the device wasn't working, the PetSafe team replied to my e-mail within minutes, and on a Sunday. I was super impressed with the fast customer support. We've been using it for almost 2 weeks, counting training time, and our hound foster now stops about 8 feet from the fence he was previously jumping, which is about when he should be hearing the beep. We keep the collar next to the back door and turned off, unless we're putting the dog out. We haven't needed to charge it yet.

Doesn't work well. We bought the set and 2 extra collars. 2 of the collars can run right across the barrier with no correction.
