I am sho angry at myself fir not purchasing this sooner! Amazing technology. My cats got right in it. Im so thankful not to have to clean or smell a litter box again! I feel confident in having company again. Thank you!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this litterbox makes it easy to have cats, it stays clean and they are happiest when using a clean box. The crystals soak up all the urine, and the rake cleans up the rest. It is silent, and the cats never notice the moving parts thanks to the 20 minute delay.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the PetSafe ScoopFree Self-Cleaning Litter Box. I was a little leary that maybe our cat wouldnt use it at first but he loves it too. He took to it within 15 mins and he was amazed by it and loves to watch it clean itself. I love that we no longer have to clean the messes up that it automatic does it. The only thing is I wish it had come with the cover but I am ordering that right away. I do think they sell the cover with some of the systems though but I am happy that I can purchase it separately.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new cat litter box has been amazing my super picky cats nacho and voodoo I've transitioned nicely to the Crystal cat litter and the automatic scooping means I don't have to worry about smells or messes! My kitties are in love and so am I! 1 tray in 3 weeks with 2 larger male cats.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried a couple of different litter boxes over the years and had given up hope for finding anything I liked. Then I ran across this amazing ScoopFree Self-Cleaning Litter Box and had to give it a try. To be honest I was hopeful but I really did think it would be like the others. To my surprise, after several weeks of my cats using this self-cleaning box I have to say that I've Finally found the right one!!! It Really does what it says and the best part to me is I smell Nothing!! It has a long ‘rack' looking thing that goes across the box moving any waste from my cats into a compartment that is so simple to remove. But there's no hurry to empty it because you smell absolutely nothing! Crazy but in an Awesome way!! This high quality litter box has been so Amazing to have. I'm so glad I gave it a try, I've been totally blown away at this self cleaning litter box. I did have to put a little bit of the cat litter that I've been using for years in it to let the cats know thst it was okay to use and it was indeed the cat box. They understood what it was after I did that and went right on in and did their business and have continued to do so since day 1!!! The odor control is the best I've ever had and I've had cats my whole life. The smell from their urine has always been the only downfall of my sweet furry family members. These crystals (the litter for this box) Really do kill every bit of that smell! It also kills the smell of the poo, nobody would know we have a cat box now and that's what I've been looking for! I will say that I'm still having to sweep up the trail of litter that comes out when they are finished. Most has been the litter I added to it but some is the crystals. But I can fix that with the mat I recently ordered and it would Not keep me from purchasing this. In fact I absolutely recommend it! It's been a life changer as a cat owner!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our cat has gotten very picky about the condition of his litter box, as he's gotten older. As a new mother, I really don't have the time to scoop it 4-5 times a day, like I used to. I can't say enough about this box. It's quiet enough that doesn't frighten an eight year old, formally feral cat, that's practically afraid of his own shadow at times. It thoroughly cleans up his waste without flinging it (an issue I was worried about because of a different brand, litter box my mother had years ago). After the cycle runs, It actually looks like the litter was just completely changed. It smells A LOT less than our previous litter box. The crystal litter it uses, doesn't track all over the place, like clumping litters. There's no dust, unlike the clumping litters, which used to cause my asthma to flare up. The best part, the box completely eliminates all waste, for an ENTIRE MONTH before needing to be changed. Also, it counts how many times your cat uses his box. Which is helpful if you have an older cat like we do, or a cat with a medical issue. 5 stars, and I SELDOM give any product 5 stars.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this kitty litter box for my newly adopted cat Sahara. It is a great product and preformed very very well.No more scooping into bags and litter all over the floor. I would recommend it to everyone with cats!
My cat has used the box about 45 times now, she demanded that i change the litter at about 35 and its working for me great. It dosent have any smell good or bad not even when it got used enough that my cat didnt want to use it any more, and my cat and i live in the same room i sleep 5 foot away from her litter box. Not only does it move the solid waste out of the way it also sifts the liquid waste so that its not so concentrated. Any time i lift up the electronics i clean off the sensors and the box has only told me that the sensors were not reading once. There is not much 'storage' for the solid waste so with one cat i find myself lifting it up maybe 2 times a week to scoop the solids out and sifting any wet looking litter around. The counter and light makes knowing whats up and if its all good very easy as well as helping to keep track of how long its been since you emptied the solids out. Finally the litter and disposable tray idea is nice and handy especially to just get delivered however its very expensive at least up front. Depending on how long your cat is willing to use the litter and if you buy more in bulk or not might wind up causing the price to even out especually if you buy more expensive litter already.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This item works as advertised. You easily set it up, it scoops the solid waste into a place where you wont have to touch it, and changing the "litter" is easy. I love this box. It's such a luxury to not have to scoop the waste every time my cat goes to the bathroom (she's a bit of a diva). This machine does it for me and I dont even have to see the waste... until the grate is full, then I have to open it up and scoop out the solid waste and the clean crystals that get pushed into it as well. This is a drawback because I just dont see how the area would ever hold a months worth of waste. I only used the first tray for 3 weeks and I had to scoop it out of it 2x in that period. I'd say my cat goes to the bathroom an average amount, and she's on the small size for an adult cat to begin with. My cat immediately adjusted to the box. She was a little timid after seeing it move, but she was fine after using it for the first couple of times. Easy transition. I got less than 3 weeks of use out of the first tray, despite it advertising that it can last a month with 1 cat. I wanted to change it after 2 weeks because it began to smell, but I wanted to push it and see what it could do...after lese than another week I had to change it because it wasn't containing the smell anymore. I changed the original tray out for a sensitive tray because even though my cat doesnt need sensitive I figured if I could avoid fragrances I'd do it. Anyways, after 1 week I had to change the sensitive tray. From the beginning it didnt work as well to contain odor and it was really bad after a week or less. I set up the box on February 10 and now it is March 5 and I have changed it 2x. I expected to be on the first box at this point and so I'm finding that this box may not be as cost effective as I'd like. Though, like I said, I got almost 3 weeks out of the original box and not the sensitive, but even so this system will get expensive fast. I dont think my cat does business more than other cats, and with her small size I full expected one box to last a month like it advertises, but this isnt seeming to be the case. If you can afford it, this system is amazing. It does all the work and contains the smell while it works, but if you're on a budget this may not be a viable option for you.
I have had to change the litter every week. Above is just an example but it is consistently the same. The crystals became saturated with urine after one week. I have to rearrange the crystals manually. The average number of times my cat uses the box is 3.8 per day. Cats urinate on average 2-4 times per day. The claim that it "automatically cleans for weeks", "one fresh tray per month", fell way short of what I expected. It is not really easy to clean as you have to take everything apart. The disposable trays are awkward to fit in a trash bag. Be careful or you will have it everywhere. It isn't very effective in eliminating odors as the crystals become soaked with urine. Sometimes the grate gets stuck and you have to manually shift the crystals around. I have only used a traditional litter box and was so hoping this would be great.
