My cats were waking me up just a half-hour too early. So why not get a robot to feed them? It have worked beautifully. Firstly, my cats are satisfied with their robot servant. Secondly, I did not realize that I was in this unhealthy relationship with them about food - waiting on food, need food, make food, shuffle and tidy up food and just come in the kitchen and do something for me concerning food. Now the robot feeds them, in nice portions throughout the day and in a measured amount that corresponds to the recommendation on the royal canin bag. Happy cats, happy cat-daddy, we play, snuggle enjoy and respect each other more because food has been removed from the equation. Hooray! two opportunities for improvement: the Alexa command is too long and cumbersome, can't it be customized "Feed Bugsy!". Rather than just have a feed a between meals snack option, have a feed the next meal early option - so as to maintain total diet amount correctly and not add to it.

THIS is a lifesaver for me and my dog! Super easy to set up with the app. Definitely worth the money. I had the older, more manual set up, version for years and it finally died. If you have a dog that stares at you when it's time to eat this is your answer. My dog now stares at this feeder...LOL. My dog is also hypoglycemic so he needs to eat 4 small meals a day. He maintains a very healthy weight because he's never overfed! Highly recommend this product!

Only had this a few weeks but so far, very impressed. We are away often so it has made it very convenient to feed the dog when we can't. Capacity appears to be big enough that we can be gone for at least a week. The like the option to feed on schedule or demand as well

I've had this for about a month now and I bought it to test it out before my weekend out of town trip and it worked perfectly like it said it should and I checked that the food amount was actually giving what it said it was. I bought it for trips away from home but now I use it daily and just have a schedule set up for my cats to get fed twice a day and a snack. It is noisy when dispensing the food but I can still sleep through it usually even when it gives them their meal when I'm asleep. The only thing I would like (besides possibly a quieter motor or bowl so the food doesn't dispense as loud) is that I wish it told you when the food compartment is empty! I know it is visible from the side if I had even attempted to check, but I forgot since it was so convenient and it tried to feed them a meal but it only got the first two 1/8cup portions out before the feeding was erratic and I saw that it had just run out. But if I didn't catch it happening I might not have thought to check it so I wish there could eventually be a model that has a sensor by weight maybe inside the food tank? Sorry for the lengthy review but I really do love this and I would recommend it for anyone with a busy lifestyle especially or if you're forgetful or have a cat like mine who starves in the middle of the day and throws up hairy water and bile on your carpet lol. Now I schedule a snack while I'm at work and I come home to no more sick old cat.

Once wifi was connected, set up was easy. Feeder holds about a week's worth of food. I can feed on the spot or scheduled, which is very convenient. If I'm running late from work, I can feed my Labrador from my phone on my way home. He obviously loves it!

Top 10 Most Important Household Appliances! Our first smart feeder just passed away after 8 years. This has been so reliable and helpful for our family and pet. We replaced it this week and the newer model was quicker to setup on WiFi and it is much quieter when the food lands in the bowl. We could not imagine owning a pet without this feeder.

I love this product, with having 3 cats that eat at all different times I feel like I am constantly refilling the cat dish. This may be priced a slightly bit high for my normal spending but the convenience and being able to use the app to feed whenever and where ever I may be is priceless. If a person can afford it particularly someone with multiple cats it is a good investment.

As a two cat household, I was having trouble with one of my little gremlins scarfing down his food and then growling at his sister, scaring her away, and finishing off her bowl. This automatic feeder (plus the bowl splitter) has seemingly solved the problem! By dispensing small (1/8 cup) meals, multiple times a day, both my cats finish off their meals around the same time so one can't bully away the other. Not to mention that it creates a more regular meal schedule so they never have to feel anxious that food hasn't come when they were expecting it. This feeder has given me peace of mind that both my cats are receiving the right amount of food every day and has given my cats a regular feeding schedule -- even if I work late or go out of town overnight. Really happy with this purchase and the PetSafe app!

I purchased this to help keep my cat on a diet when we are gone for a weekend or vacation. I was getting messages that the girl was getting fed several extra times a day on the first weekend. It comes to find out that she was pushing the indicator light on the top of the feeder and that dispenses an additional meal. I ended up taping a bottle cap over the button so she can not get extra meals. It would be nice if we could disable this button. I like the fact that we get the notification to confirm that the feeder dispensed the meal.

Overall this is a good feeder. Easy to set up and operate. App is very user friendly. The two things I would like to see fixed are 1) the tray is noisy when the food is deposited into it, and 2) the smallest portion you can dispense is 1/8 cup, you can't go smaller to 1/16 cup.
