The door is noce and convenient. We thove the security of the door as with our old door the Raccoons were alway sneaking in. No issues sence we instaled the pet safe locking door.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best pet door in its class. The installation process is fairly easy for fellow DIYers out there. Once installed, there is not much that PetSafe didn't think about. From the tinted flap to the app that accompanies the door. From the app you can set schedules for your pets and get notified each time the door is used. It is great for those late nights out or just for your pet that likes to go in and out like my Husky. My dog loves his door and almost immediately understood how to use it. I highly recommend this to anyone with pets that is looking for a reliable pet door with safety and security in mind.

We used to have an outdated pet door for our Malamute Hugo. We love being able to give our dog the freedom to go outside whenever he pleases. It worked great but we would still find mice in our house around the same time each year. If there is anything that I absolutely despise, it is having to get rid of mice. We bought this door in order to continue allowing Hugo to go in and out as he pleases and to curb the mice problem we were having. It has exceeded our expectations in both of these categories. The SmartDoor Connected Pet Door even allows us to set times where the door becomes locked for the duration of the night so Hugo cannot go outside when we don't want him to. Would definitely recommend!

Three months in with 15# and an 11# cats. Took a few weeks of sweet words, treats and training but they get it now. Recommend full access until your furry friends catch on and for a month or more after before changing schedules. A nice, steady routined smart door and smart feeding system keeps small birds safe and cats safe from large predators. Installed into exterior wall. Time consuming but it was a great option and thoroughly considered. Smaller cats *may* struggle with the door not fully latching and the force required to both push through and slam securely shut for the next pass through. At this price-point I would hope a stronger implanted microchip reader that can read well from both sides is made a priority. The fob is a great backup—had to buy several from another retailer to replace the ones that keep slipping off because the metal is too thin and passes through any and every keychain coiled-type connector. 9.25/10

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The door is easy to install and actually very easy to program. Here are the Pros: 1. It is not loud. We have two cats and none are afraid of it. 2. The design seems to be safe for cats. 3, The manual locking mechanism works very easily Here are the Cons: 1. The tunnel is deep and small. A big cat could not get through. It needs to be at least an inch larger in every direction. 3. I wish the arrows on the knob were colored red/green/yellow/grey instead of all grey. I have to use a flashlight to set it because the arrows are hard to tell apart. 4. The only setting electronically regulates identified cats to coming in. Exit is manually controlled.

It does the job I need it to do but for the price there are a couple of things I'm disappointed in. The first one being the RFID tags. They're not the greatest quality and easily lost. The solution I found is to duct tape them on the collars. The other on is it's 2025 and the door has no smart home integration. It's not a major thing and could most likely be added in an app update. Other than that the door does what I need it to do.

I hope I didn't make a huge mistake in buying this product. I bought the Medium door. My dog weighs only 10 lbs and she won't be able to get through the door while standing upright. My dog is still afraid of the door but I'm working with her every day to get used to it. She struggles to get her legs through so it makes her afraid.

We've had this door installed for a little over a month. While the idea of it is great, the functionality is awful. The door is incredibly unreliable. Sometimes the door sensor responds to the fob, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes, the door will allow my dog to exit, but won't open inward to let her back inside. It's impossible to train my dog with such inconsistent operation. I would not recommend this door unless you are okay with leaving it unlocked. If that's the case, what's the point of paying extra to get a smart door?

This dog door is so incredibly loud when it's closing! I am trying to engineer a way to quiet it so it stops waking up my sleeping baby when my dogs are going in and out!

I bought this adapter kit, and it was missing the foam spacer. So I have not been able to install my dog door. I called for a replacement part and was sent a second adapter kit. The box arrived open and damaged, and AGAIN it has NO spacer foam. FRUSTRATING!! It makes me wonder about the quality of the door if they can't get simple packaging correct. When I called the company yesterday, it was closed due to a company meeting. Hopefully, they were talking about their packaging issues.
