[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have four cats. Three of them took over my dinning table and at first I gave up. Then I got Ssscat spray deterrent. My eldest is the most obsessive kind of cat, he is 12 and seemed set in his ways. The kind that enjoys being bad and in the middle of everything, it's a game to him. No beverage or game board is safe. Ssscat put him in check and I am so pleased I even take it with me of I decide to use the formal dinning room. I plan on getting one more for the coffee table. It sounds just like a can of air but it sprays alot so it's loud and sudden. It's incredibly starling but doesn't hurt them at all. It even makes me jump when I forget its there. 100 % effective against stubborn old cats who think they own the house. The head swivels so the sensor and sprayer can point in different directions. The design is very straight forward and easy to set up without directions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our house is often the one that all the stray cats come to live so with that said we have currently three cats that are inside & tend to try jumping on counters. Obviously I don't want them jumping on the counter in kitchen so I'm constantly having to watch them but thank to this wonderful invention I no longer have to watch them 24/7! It is motion detector so I can set it up & as soon as they go to the counter it will spray which immediately deters them! I absolutely LOVE it!! I have already had two friends get them for their own homes because they seen how great they are!!

So I was thrilled to get PetSafe-SSSCAT Spray and was surprised that it really does work. Our cat jumped up on the counter right after I had set it up and was down immediately. I think he has jumped up once since but no longer does. It is easy set up and you can buy the refills for it too.

I've tried several things to keep my kitten off the center island in my kitchen where the stovetop is located: repeatedly putting him down on the floor or onto a near by tree, double sided sticky tape, and carpet protectors with the pointy side up. Nothing worked....he's very determined to do what he wants! Then I heard about Ssscat spray deterrents. I set two of them up on the island facing in different directions.....it's a pretty big island. He set them off twice and hasn't tried to get on the counter again.......it's been about a week since he tried the second time. I'm still keeping them set up because he's only 5 months old and still rather reckless with his behavior.......I want to be sure if he tries again he will continue to be deterred until he really gives it up. Now if I can just get my husband to stop setting them off I'll be all set!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had a countertop cruisin' kitty, and nothing I did would keep her off it. I set the SSScat spray on the counter, headed off to bed. Not 10 minutes later, I heard it go off, and kitty went flying off the counter. I love this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My animals have a habit of getting I to places they shouldn't. So it was time to teach them not to go into the areas we don't want them in. Specifically by the garage door to the house so they don't get out when it's opened. The sprayer was mostly set up, it does come with quite the list of warnings so I set it up right outside the door. I was a little worried about my kids getting into it. It worked. The sound scared them whenever the door was opened and they no longer sniff around there. It taught them to stay away so it worked as advertised.

We have a new “teenage” cat in our home who has never seen a Christmas tree. To him it was a tree FULL of toys just for his pleasure. After the first morning of tree reconstruction, I set SSSCAT in front of the tree the following evening and the problem is completely solved. This product is AMAZING!

Purchased two and they worked well in 2016. After a few years they started to fail. Recently I attempted to refill and the insides came out in parts. I suspect that the 1,1,1,2 Tetraflouroethane caused some breakdown of the plastic. Don't expect more than about 5 or 6 years of life from the device. It is an excellent and effective device while it works.

Purchased 2 to prevent cats from getting on the bed. Neither one worked. They didn't detect anything, not even humans. Contacted the company directly and explained the problem. The customer service was great. They sent me 2 replacements at no charge. These 2 are better than the first. They'll detect me walking past them. However they don't seem to detect the cats. I walked into the bedroom today to find 2 cats napping on the bed directly in front of the sprayer. I waved my arm and hand in front of the sprayer. Nothing happened. Finally I aimed it at me and walked past. Now it sprays. So after trying 4 of these my conclusion is that the motion sensor is a piece of junk. Some may work. Others not so much. A lot of money to pay for a low probability of success. I gave 2 stars because customer service was so nice.
