In order to assemble this, I utilized adhesive and bored few pilot holes. I then sealed it with a waterproof sealant. How well it holds up will be seen. Adding something to keep the nesting box open or closed is probably something you should do. Excellent beginning, and I'll have to construct a larger one if we end up with more than three (we were only going to get two, but we received a surprise bird).

This charming little coop may accommodate four or six hens. Though not the strongest material, it is still well worth the cost. It cleans up easily. The reason the roosting bars don't want to remain in their slots might be because my females like to roll over and kick the bars off of them when lying on the tray and bedding.

Setting it up is simple, and the illustrations help. The pieces don't quite fit together, however. The wood is very inexpensive. For 'severe' weather, I painted it with weatherproof furniture paint, and thus far, it has held up. The nesting box's bottom wasn't right, and other pieces didn't function, so I had to make my own. For the cost, it's reasonable.

This product is solid in every way. FYI, it comes in two boxes. The one feature I wish it had were built-in hooks for hanging food or water inside and under the coop. But it's a simple do-it-yourself remedy. This is a very good buy, and hardwood is a terrific material in general.

used up to the age of my newborn chickens. You risk breaking or ripping out screws if you move with excessive force. Functioned quite well. relocated to my spacious coop till they got to know my elderly folks. Though I'm not sure whether that would be ideal for our really chilly winter evenings.

Ideal augmentation for our rural barn! This barn was purchased for our hens! The rather difficult setup was caused by inadequate instructions! Fortunately, my spouse is very skilled and managed to assemble everything in around 60 minutes! I'll provide an update in a few months about how it holds up to the weather outdoors!

Worth the price. Assembly directions are not great, but I was able to manage. I do like that the coop is mobile. Some parts came a bit damaged, but I was able to improvise.

This is a wonderful coop for beginners. Not large enough to fit three or four full-sized chickens. I doubled the size of my four-person coop by building an identical one using it as a template. Since the wood seemed cheap, I sealed it in the hopes that it will endure. Building it was simple. The 'run' is much too small, but maybe my addition may provide enough room.

What an absolute nightmare! Product was shipped and had major defects that made assembly impossible! Tried to resolve with seller and had no response. Then Walmart stepped in to help yet, it’s been well over a month and still haven’t received our money back even though they keep giving me dates!
