It does exactly what's it's supposed to do. The only thing is that if the mouse's tail is too long, it can get caught on the latched side. I wish that the trap was designed to prevent that.
I've caught many live mice in this trap. I've had best luck with a piece of Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies as bait. I check the next day (don't forget - you don't want it to die in there) and if there's a mouse, I release it away from the house.
I had a well made snap trap set for a week and it did not trigger when the mice would eat the bait. So I bought this instead and I caught a mouse within hours. I'm honestly relieved that the other one didn't work, because I would've felt awful seeing the little guy dead. It's super easy to use and the trigger is gentle and effective. Now to figure out where to put the mouse...
I have trapped about 5 mouse's already with this trap, it's amazing! I don't have the heart to kill them they are living animals and I'll just realize them outside, I just don't want they bite my food! This is one of them ( my friend) , don't kill them please just leave them outside! PROTECT THE ONES THAT NO ONE LIKES! 🫶🏻🙏🏻❤️
Worked great! Caught the little guy within 2 hours of putting out this trap. I knew he was under the t v so I set it up next to it. Lo and behold he was sitting in there waiting to be released within 2 hours! I used peanut butter as the lure. Great product. Neat and clean .
Thought I had a mouse in my apartment. I don't but there is something in the wall. Once I thumped it where I could hear noise a few times, whatever it was scampered off and it's been quiet ever since. However, rodents can chew through wallboard, so these will come in handy if and when that time comes. I love that they are catch and release.
It really works. Saw one come into my home under my screen door, my dog chased it under a hall cabinet. I placed the trap in front of the cabinet, baited with some cheese, left it alone. After three days, success, caught the little guy. Cute but not in my home, released him under a Juniper bush. Will pass info onto my neighbors, just in case. Thank you
I put out this trap and lethal one. Lethal caught none. this trap 4 and counting. It is a small trap but that's fine my mice are small. At first caught none. Internet to rescue said try choc. So choc syrup and peanut butter mixed a tiny AMT placed down. Bam! In a few hours. Next day bam etc. I like releasing them. Perfect trap easy to use. Easy to clean. Remember release at least mile away or you may keep catching the same one. And near cover so a hawk doesn't see lunch.
The mouse trap was really easy to set up, all I did was smear a bit of peanut butter inside to attract the mouse and then put it back into place and lifted the trap door and placed it on the ground where I suspected the mouse might be. I caught him within one day of setting it up! The trap is very sensitive, it did catch the mouse's tail but it didn't hurt it at all. Overall, very easy to use and it's reusable. I would definitely recommend to someone having a minor mouse issue.
I don't write many reviews, but I have to say, this worked like a charm for the small mice I had to catch and release, (I released them before dawn in the nearby state park). I have a bigger one it took to catch a pack rat, If you use poison the will hide die and stink. I hate seeking their heads smashed in with the old style wooden traps. The sticky traps will pull off their little fingers if you try to remove them, (YECH!) These traps are great, the work perfectly and you can easily let the little mouse go in a safe place!
