works well, just a tip for everyone - before installing a new cartridge you may need to completely unplug the printer for about ten minutes, then plug it back in and install the new cartridge, this allows the printer to recognize the new cartridge. unplugging the printer resets the computer to recognize the new cartridge. Hope this helps!!! it works for me...
Very good ink, printing is very good and it dries quickly and doesn't smear with me, and also I didn't have to align the cartridge. very simple, install and print, Walla. Price was a good value and you can get it same day, excellent cartridge and excellent printer. Both were purchased from Walmart. Thanks.
They do not seem to last as long as an XL cartridge should last but other than that I like this ink. It seems like they are putting less ink in the cartridges just like they are doing for everything else!! Same price, less item!! I would rather pay $3.00 more for a cartridge that lasts. This is on Canon not Walmart.
These are easy enough to use, but the lack of ink for the price is ridiculous. I'm not expecting something for nothing, but the cost of these is astronomical for the amount or like there of the number of sheets, you were able to print even using draft quality. The prices make a good case for even using generic or refurbed ink cartridges and the problems that come with it.
the ink did its job, but it just out very quickly. even the large cartridges. both black and color alike. the printer itself is suppose to be a small easy to use print, copy, scanner. however, it is not simple and it is very slow. i will say if you have the patience and the time, you do get your moneys worth. just dont expect to make your task go quickly and don't expect any of the cartridges to last beyond about 30-50 of basic paperwork and less than 10 pages with one to two colors in them.
I had a specific print job I wanted to get done. It was 192 pages, all text, all single space. I wanted it done right and with the best quality ink, so I ponied up for the good stuff, and based upon everything I had seen, the XL cartridge should have been more than enough to get it all done in one shot. I installed the cartridge, hit the print button, left all settings alone on my MacBook Air, and started printing. I kept my eye on the print job as it went along, and at around page 120, I noticed some blurring and light spots in the text. It happened again on the next page, then worsened again on the page after that. The ink was running low with seventy pages still to go! Full XL cartridge, left the settings on default, not close, by any standard to the page ratings I had seen, and now the cartridge was failing. 11.9ml of ink wasn't enough (big surprise!) I guess. Irate, I removed the cartridge as it was now very clear that it was done, and stuck back in my old one not knowing how far it would take me. Miraculously, my 'generic' cartridge got the job done - the next 70 pages - without a hitch, and my very special and very important document was all printed up. The Canon XL cartridge printed 120 pages of single spaced text 1 cover sheet, and then pooped out. I was so angry I started thinking about calling a lawyer.
Delivery driver left the package (which was a paper mailer) in a corner nowhere near the front door, in the rain. Luckily, the ink cartridges are air tight in plastic because I didn't find the package until 2 rainy days later. Great sale price; absolute CRAP delivery.
The quantity of ink has been getting less and less so this last time I purchased the XL. I opened the box (which was fully sealed) and the ink pot inside hadn't been sealed in the container. It had however been closed with a piece of sticky tape. We tried to install it anyway because I have a paperwork deadline... but it won't print and has leaked ink in the machine. I need to replace this one to finish my paperwork but after that I will never use Canon again. Have used them for over 50 years..
This is an extra large cartridge, which says that it would print about 600 pages or so. I only got about 50 pages out of it before my printer told me that it was low on ink entirely too expensive for something of such low quality don't waste your money.
ordered wrong cartridge was replaced by walmart with same wrong cartridge took both to local walmart got credit for ONE cartridge later got charged for BOTH cartridges by walmart is in doubt for next year
