No longer do I have to retrieve my golf ball. It will return close enough to me so that I can reach it with my club. Requires two AA batteries (not included) and smaller than I expected for some reason but perfect for my purposes. Only using this indoors currently but this would work just fine out on our deck. Cannot wait to take it to the office, but our toddler is almost as obsessed with this as I am. Highly recommended for the office or hotel golfer but perfectly suitable for family play.
I surprised myself by ordering one of these, Since I have never golfed or been a golfer except mini-golf. But I was thinking, what the heck? It could be a fun around the house for the family. Boy was I right! The day it arrived we went down to Goodwill, picked up a couple of putters and a bag of golf balls for less than $10. When we got home we played a homemade mini-golf around the house. You can just have a ton of fun with this, and also if you're really serious about golfing you want to improve your putting, this thing is great! It's not even a all that expensive. I even found a bag that some power tools came in around the house that I never used, and put it all in and turned it into the new put-put golf game bag. This thing in this loads of fun!
This cup is attractive and lightweight--small enough to take with me on outings. The ball return has enough power to consistently return my golf ball where I am putting from. I used two NEW AA batteries and I was able to comfortably practice putting from AT LEAST 6.5 feet away (measured-see photo). I practiced on concrete, tile and low pile carpet. Of course, using carpet made it much easier to control my shot. I never had a problem with the ball return. If I hit the ball too hard, it may spin around the "U" of the cup and it still circles back. If I hit it even harder, the ball can roll over the back of the machine. This is to be expected. The only issue I had is how hard it was to get into the battery compartment. It looked like a standard cover, but I ended up having to use a butter knife-sized piece of metal to pry it open. Now, I just leave the door off, which doesn't affect the performance of the cup, whatsoever.
Automatically returns the ball every time Portable for easy use Durable Multi-functional Lightweight Battery operated Im starting to like Golf because of this handy putting cup I recommend you will enjoy it. Made well and does what its supposed to do.
This automatic putting cup works well. It will only work with a normal golf ball, any balls that weigh too little or are too big or small will not work with this. If you hit the ball too hard, it will bounce back out without it sitting in the area where the little nook is that represents the hole. I like this because it makes it more like if you were really golfing. It also has some forgiveness with the open area being a bit bigger than a normal cup. It hits the cup back to you hard enough to go several feet. Even on thicker carpet it will kick it out around 3 feet. It's a little noisy, but not too bad. Overall a good product.
We set this up in our bar area in our basement. So easy to set up, take out of the box and install two AA batteries. Easy to put into and of course it sends the ball back. We have been having do much fun with theputting cup. Would recommend for gifts or just for yourself for fun. The only thing is buy a boc of golf balls since this didn't include any.
Who doesn't want to be better at putting. As this club is where you save a round. Of course it made of plastic, (what isn't) but its nicely designed. A slight angle in the front and the kick back pin in the back. Looks to be same size as the real hole. It sits squarely so there is no worry about missing. With this aid, I'm hoping to put better on the course. So instead of sitting down you can practice your putting. Can't hurt.... I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in a better golf score. Who doesn't want that..
It is made of high-quality plastic and is durable, lightweight, and very easy to transport. This automatic putting cup device saves the walk for re-setting. This enables you to continue practicing uninterrupted. Furthermore, the portable equipment does not always remain stationary and does not utilize enough force to push the ball back. I believe this is more suited to indoor use and smaller places. Nonetheless, it's convenient because it is battery operated (2 AA), there are no power outlets or walls to plug it into, and is an excellent way to practice your putting.
I got this product for my son and husband to practice with. They try it on thick carpet and tighter woven rugs and on indoor/outdoor carpet on the porch. Of course it doesn't always send the ball all the way back where you putted from but that is completely understandable. My husband and son are happy with. Box was smashed on one end but it didn't effect the product.
So my Son-in-law is a golfer. I wanted to get him something to help his short game... putting. As the last time we played miniature golf, I had a better score... and I don't play regular golf. The problem with this is that it doesn't work well on a thick carpet -- doesn't have the umph! to return the ball. On a wood or vinyl floor, does pretty good, but you lack the feel of hitting the ball on turf. Still, it's okay for lining up your shots... and practice does make for improvement.
