The most famous for good reason

Michael June 12, 2026

I am not always a brand name enthusiast, but have recently begun making my own cheesecakes. When making those, I discovered there is NO substitute for this brand. Creamy, delicious, and perfect texture when cooking at home. Don't accept anything less.

I Put That ;x In EVERYTHING!

Laterica May 19, 2026

That Philly boy commercial sparked an interest in which it did NOT disappoint. I put that Oomp in EVERYTHING! No. Seriously, it has upgraded my chicken alfredo pasta and spaghetti sauce times 1000! And I may be a little dramatic, but call me Martha. I'm opening up a small eater to serve food with this enhancement.

Pure! I can't believe it!

Karmen June 20, 2026

Wow I can't believe it but this doesn't have Guar gum or other gross additives. I had bought some at you know that large warehouse not owned by Walmart but the other one and was so upset when I saw the cream cheese had Guar Gum! So it's only this brand now for me and buying it in a 1 or 2 pack and ALWAYS checking.

Flawless Performance in the Oven

Michele June 27, 2026

If you bake cheesecakes, danishes, or frostings, the original Philadelphia block is the only choice. Because it lacks the added water found in tub spreads, it behaves beautifully under heat. It softens up smoothly at room temperature and blends seamlessly into a completely lump-free batter. When baked, it yields a dense, velvety texture without cracking or turning oily. It also holds its structure perfectly when whipped with powdered sugar for a rich cream cheese frosting. For serious home bakers, accept no substitutes.

Philadelphia cream cheese is the absolute best!

Tonikens May 3, 2026

Philadelphia cream cheese is the only cream cheese that I will buy. I've tried the Walmart brand and it is nowhere near as good as Philadelphia's. For the taste, you have to go with Philadelphia cream cheese. Saving a few pennies on any other brand just isn't worth it, especially when you're using it for recipes. Save money elsewhere, and go with philadelphia!

Philly is always the best

Cynthia May 18, 2026

Cream cheese is one of the few foods I buy that I will only buy the name brand. Philly Cream Cheese is far and away the best cream cheese available. It is easy to work with (not sticky or gooey and doesn't stick to the inner wrapper) and always tastes fantastic in any recipe from my Crack Chicken Noodle Soup to a variety of desserts. only Philly for me and Walmart offers it in a convenient 2-pack.

Real Ingredients Revealed

anonymous May 27, 2026

The maker of Philadelphia Cream Cheese must have gotten called out. Didn't the package description list only cream and milk as the ingredients previously? That is why I bought Philadelphia Cream Cheese instead of a brand that cost less. Now turns out, more ingredients are listed. I think those who have shown support by purchasing this higher cost brand should get a rebate. Kraft, right? That was a bit Krafty!

Do not trust that things will always be right

reasonspeaks October 12, 2025

This score is NOT a reflection of the product (Philly cream cheese has always been delicious), but the score reflects Walmart’s processes for storage and delivery of refrigerated and frozen foods. During the past few months, many cold products have arrived less than cold, frozen has begun to defrost, and ice cream is like soup. But this is the worse negligence in that at some point/points in time, this 2pack of cream cheese had to have been left unrefrigerated for a significant amount of time. I brought the delivery promptly inside when it was delivered on 10/12/25. I was looking forward to enjoying some on one of the cranberry English muffins which I had ordered the day before (when the cream cheese had been unavailable). The cream cheese looked and smelled fine, but as soon as I tasted it, I knew that it was sour (kind of gross). If you received this item after the restock on 10/12/25, do a taste check right away. Walmart should also taste check the cream cheese in the super store from which I ordered, and remove it from their refrigerator at once (and please do not raise the price to maintain your profits). Walmart should have people in charge of keeping track of incoming stock and out going deliveries; they charge enough for things that people should be able to buy with confidence. A note to Philadelphia Brand - I have enjoyed your product since I was about four years old and my Mom made cream cheese and jam on Ritz crackers; thank you for the memories.

Exactly what are they feeding us?

Anonymous June 14, 2026

Exactly what is this stuff?? It's certainly not real cream cheese. It was dry and almost crumbly and wouldn't spread well. And I can't even describe the taste because there was none. There was NO yummy, creamy, crisp taste that one would expect from REAL cream cheese. Seriously, what is in this garbage?

I'm beyond disappointed with this order! I ordered 2 cans of chicken. They didn't arrive with the order. They were to be delivered later. On June 12, I received a message they'd been delivered. I was home and nothing was delivered. I also have ring security cameras to prove no one came to my house. I immediately called the local store. They told me they couldn't do anything but gave me another number. I called that number. They said I had to do it online. I went to the order and tried to cancel the chicken. It wouldn't allow me to do that either. It said I couldn't get a refund until I returned the chicken!! I can't return something that never arrived. I can no longer place orders for delivery as I have no confidence I will actually receive anything.
