This is my second Phillips Android TV. I upgraded from a 32 inch to a 55 inch. I still have the 32 inch in a bedroom. It is an Excellent Big Screen Android TV. Packaging for shipment was well thought out. Setup was easy and picture and sound are excellent. I do not usually give these types of recommendations but this TV is awesome.
This TV at the price is as good as it gets. Everything works perfectly well. As a bonus, it even works with European PAL spec DVD players. Not so with my 32" Samsung TV which I will give away. If it had one more HDMI port and analog audio output, it would be even better. My expensive amplifier only accepts analog audio input and I have multiple DVD players that play DVDs from all regions. I used the TV headphone output to send analog audio signal to my amplifier and the sound coming out of my B&W tower speakers is phenomenal. I worked with an OEM manufacturer for Philips and we discovered that they used the best components in all their products regardless of price. Judging from the performance of my new 55" Philips TV, I believe the still keep this practice. Almost all my DVD players were also made by Philips. Why spend more? Go with the best at a price you can afford.
Bought 50-inch TV and pretty happy about it. All modern TVs have a flat sound, but this TV has a Bluetooth, so you can connect your BT wireless headphones and hear the good sound without bothering anyone. Priceless for the bedroom TV. The picture quality is good and for 50 inch you can't even see the big difference between 4K and 1080p. I hope it will last and so far so good. Within this price range (280-320$) this is a really good value for 50 inch TV. Plus Philips is the European brand and sounds better than bunch of no names. ( yes, I know they licensed they name to Funai, but still sounds better than Onn or TCL)
Great tv. Bought on boxing day. it does have a manufacturer defect where you cannot remove system sound. Once you come to terms with the defect which is more superfical than anything. Other than that love the interface and quality. You can customize your home page to only the apps you use. There aren't any annoying ads like a fire tv.
[Employee of walmartcanada] Good quality TV for its price. Perfect for folks wanting to have a simple 4k tv for streaming and a bit of gaming. Picture quality is decent but won't blow you away like other big brand tv's. Though i would suggest playing around with the picture settings as the tv is a bit on the dim side out of the box. Perfect for users that also want to stream videos from their laptop or phone via the VLC app.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As soon as yhe warranty was up it quit and the service department had no where around me to fix it and what information they had provided was so far out of date ...
The video and sound quality is terrible. It says its 4K HDR, but the video is highly disappointing. The picture quality is like the early 2000s LCD TVs. The sound is like from a tinny speaker of an old mobile phone. The remote itself is from the 90s. Overall ugly and cheap.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No updates. Most of the apps I like and watched no longer work. Plex and Tubi are the only two movie apps still working for now. No third party apps can be downloaded. Only Google apps can be downloaded from play store and they no longer are working. Seems a waste of money.
just 2 year will not turn on
can get it turn on color lines
