Great TV
Great tv
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Smart LED TV is out of this world. The 50-inch ultra HD display make watching any show a delight. I really love that fact that its super fast frame rate reduces the typical motion blur, and connecting is super simple either via ethernet or WiFi. Allowing the whole family to enjoy streaming everything from an action packed movie to a slow paced children's tv show and not to mention a hyped up concerts and music videos. I highly recommend this great everything included Philips TV.
On the surface this tv is great. The picture is good and the built in Roku gives you access to streaming services. The problem I have is that the TV will not pick up my local stations. I have connected my antenna and my stations will show up until I turn the TV off. Then my local stations disappear until I scan for them again. Upon research, this seems to be a known problem that hasn't been resolved. I have tried all the fixes suggested online but nothing works. I will be returning mine. If you don't care about local channels this TV is great. If you want to view local channels don't buy this tv.
I've never had such a highly rated device end up being total garbage. And it isn't just me. Roku devices consistently have software issues that cause them to disconnect from home networks and fail to reconnect. Currently, mine won't even let me access other devices plugged into the TV, such as my Xbox or the fire stick from the menu. Which is funny because those are able to connect to the home network/internet just fine. Roku helpdesk is useless. If I had a vehicle big enough, I'd return it in a heartbeat. Total disappointment.
This TV after a year started with plugging/unplugging for 15 sec to get the darn thing to turn on. And its not just me, Google this and see all complaints and Phillips denies problem. Do not buy this TV!
Am returning After only 48 hours
