Saw one of these at work and loved the convenience of multiple outlets . it also has an automatic shut off if the items are pulling too much current. For example , 2 microwaves cannot work at the same time . You have to use each piece of equipment , one at a time if it needs strong current like the microwave or toaster oven. However, smaller appliances like a coffee pot and plain toaster should work fine.
I like that I can plug in multiple items that tend to take up a lot of space without limiting access to the other outlets. I have a few. One picture is of this exact one, which I like best because it has the reset button and is a little larger, but I wanted to show how different styles of plus ins work without taking up more space, so I’m showing the other type that I also have with them plugged in (a glade air freshener plug in and a TopSum cat calming diffuser to be specific.) My house is crooked, not the device.
I feel this saved out home from burning down Christmas night. It worked exactly how it should and cut the power which alerted my daughter who got me and i found the outlet was literally melting in the wall. I was able to cut the power and have it repaired. If we didnt have this idk what would of happened
Super easy to install, you take the screw out of the existing wall plate and plug in the unit over top and use the extended screw to fastened and you're done! This has a trip switch on top to prevent surges. I'm very pleased and will be buying them again.
Exactly what I needed- I wanted some additional places to plug a small aquarium in, including filter, lights, and heater. I wanted something with an added layer of protection since some of those items would be running full time. This worked out perfectly!
Looks great, provides extra safety, and works flawlessly. I bought this to plug in small kitchen appliances to provide an extra layer of safety, since it has its own circuit breaker built in. Totally worth the price for the peace of mind, its attractive form, and reliable function.
I absolutely love this wall tap. The outlets are a bit tight, but that is actually a huge plus for me. It means everything is snugly plugged in, and my kids cannot easily pull the cords out of the wall.Another fantastic feature is that it comes with a mounting screw. This allows you to screw the tap directly into the actual wall outlet so it stays perfectly in place. It adds a great level of stability and safety. Highly recommend!
ahhhh... finally, a solution for my tiny kitchen counter. So, I spent far too long researching wall taps, but I'm glad I learned that you don't necessarily want a built-in USB charger in your kitchen wall tap because the high watt pull of a boiler, toaster, and lastly microwave (who knew?!) will wear out the tiny surge protection required for USB hook-ups quickly, and that it's better off to get a basic wall tap and add your own phone charging block. That said, I still wanted a side hook-up wall tap to clear up space on my small kitchen counter by moving the cords to the back wall. One tiny desire I also had was to also put my microwave on an on/off switch for as-needed use, because the clock was doubling my stove clock right next to it, and two digital clocks was just too much. And now, for all the ways this tiny tap is so wonderful... 1. NO ANNOYING LIGHT 2. The beautiful screw in the middle that keeps this little baby from coming loose. 3. Enough plugs 4. Angled just enough on the sides to allow for (check out my picture!) a larger remote controlled block, or really, any larger type of plug you have. (Now, yes, my microwave is on remote control... it's a beautiful thing, and currently offered by Walmart's Hyper Tough brand.) 5. I was a little worried that my plugs WEREN'T GOING IN at first, but, with a little more effort, they did, and now I'm confident that they're in there nice and tight. 6. And just in case I accidentally run two of my appliances at once, I'm not going to trip the breaker... all I have to do is push the button on top of the wall tap. With a 125V rating, this baby should reliably handle each appliance alone with no trouble, and not "cut power when the surge protection expires", like some other brands. Life is beautiful, and so is this. Just wanted you to know!
i needed something to extend the use of the limited outlets near my bed in my room. This fit the bill with the front %26 side outlets, ease of use and assembly, and it's resettable. you can install it temporarily or permanently. I haven't done the permanent install yet, but it's a screw that you install into the existing screw in your outlets faceplate. The temporary install is simply plugging in into the existing outlet. I suggest the "permanent" install because the temp makes it vulnerable to unplugging.
the item short circuited with only three items plugged into it and it burnt the inside of it so can be caused in fires
