Makes charging my phone so easy.
Convenient and functional.
Like the side plugs and the top piece to lay my phone on.
This is my second purchase of this outlet, very happy with it. Top tray is a space saver.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So many features are packed into this little adaptor. Meant for low demand devices, this box does four functions in an incredibly small volume of space. It takes a standard outlet and makes it six surge protected (450J) outlets with two USB charging ports and an optional tray gives you a place to prop your phone while it's charging. It is a significant space saver and one of the easiest ways to beef up an outlet, especially counter height outlets. You can only install the device in one orientation. It requires grounded outlets with the ground hole facing down. It only plugs into the top outlet and it keeps from rotating by having a plastic prong in the bottom outlet. The device comes with a screw restraint meant to keep the unit from pulling out of the wall under gravity loads. The screw is designed for a traditional plug where the outlet cover screws in between the top and bottom outlet. My outlets are modern and I can not use the restraint screw. Things to be aware of. For a while, code had you put the ground plug facing up. If installed in this orientation, the shelf will not be useful because it would be under the adaptor. If you have split power going to an outlet pay attention to how this is installed. My living room has a switch that controls the bottom plug for table lamps while the top plug is always live.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've got a few devices that I use regularly (phone, tablet, watch) that need charging on a regular basis, but I've been precariously leaving them on the arm of my couch while they charge from the outlet. The shelf on this surge protector is so clutch!!! I feel like my devices are safe and out of the way. The only small critique I have are the outlets on the sides. I wish one side had the outlets in the east/west orientation rather than the usual north/south orientation. The east/west orientation would work for those bulky, funky rectangle plugs. With the outlets north/south, you either have to use the last (bottom) outlet for those rectangle plugs (if it fits) or you'll cover up the other outlets if you use the first two. Just a suggestion because the way these outlets currently are, they only work the traditional plugs and really, who has all traditional plugs these days???
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I The Phillips 6 outlet tap its pretty handy especially with the USB ports that are on it and it works better than what I currently have. I'm glad I don't need to struggle finding a charging box I can now just straight shot the cord in
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This surge protector wall tap is very convenient to have. The number of outlets that this wall tap provides is great and a huge help when you want to plug in more than two items. The surge protection is great to have in general since it helps prevent any electrical mishaps. The two USB ports on the front are so useful especially when you don't have a charging base to plug in. The phone shelf that comes in the box is cool to have but you don't really have to have it on the tap since it's really just an added accessory. Overall I would recommend this surge protector if you are looking to add more outlet space.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've neber owned a surge protector outlet setup with the shelf before and I have to say its the coolest concept ever. The plug fot snuggly and easily into my outlet for starters. I really liked how the plugs were on the sides instead of the front 2. It makes it look a little nicer and cleaner. I enjoyed the addition of the USB plugs in the front which makes it so i can plug in ym iPad woth out using a plug. Everything about this 6 plug set up is amaxing and I may change out a few more outlets woth them.
i give it two stars for the design and the bench on top to put your devices. my wall plug malfunctioned and sparked when i plugged it in and then would not supply power. so i just threw it in the trash and moved on. maybe it was a one in million defect but i just don't want to chance it.
