[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It takes all the work out of the process. I purchased Italian semolina flour and I'm very happy with the taste and texture of the finished pasta. I also enjoy having 6 options of different pasta types with the attachments that came with it. Great way to make a healthier pasta! I also used it to mix bread dough.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay, so I've had this machine about 6 weeks now, and I'm more enthusiastic about it than when it first arrived. It produces very consistent results, requires exactly zero expertise on my part, and cleans up in literally minutes. I take it off the shelf and put it on the counter (this is the hardest part of the entire procedure), measure in the specified amount of whatever flour I'm using (recipes included for many many options), turn the little guy on, push the "Auto" button, add the specified amount of water, and wait (about 3 minutes or so) for pasta to come out. Really. That's it. The parts that need cleaning are all dishwasher safe, but they're so easy to clean I don't bother with the dishwasher. It's almost faster to clean them in the sink than it is to put them in the dishwasher. Only the shaper head is a bit fiddly to clean, but if you allow it to dry thoroughly even that pops clean with a couple of pokes with the provided cleaning tool. I'm thinking of going Oriental and making some rice noodles. (Yes, recipes included).
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Machine is so easy to use. Easy to clean. My only complaint is that there are zero instructions and recipes.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this pasta maker for approximately the past two months, and I've used it at least a dozen times. It has proven to be quick and easy to use, with fantastic pasta. Great surprise during two dinner parties! And my young kids love to help cut the pasta as it comes out. All around I am very happy with the purchase that was a little pricey, but well worth it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been gluten free for 4 years and pasta in this category has improved significantly however it is still quite expensive. The Phillips pasta maker makes it easy to produce great fresh gluten free pasta. We don't like the recipe that they have in their cook book however you can find great recipes online. We like a simple brown rice flour, xantham gum, egg, water recipe which we found online. If you want fresh pasta I'm sure if it can make great gluten free pasta it can make great regular pasta as well. To top it off it's fun and easy to use. I definitely recommend this machine.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like my new 7000 series HR2660/03 Pasta Maker. A helpful hint from another review suggested a small amount of oil on the outer edge of the shaping discs, on the inner area of the disc and on the area where the discs sits in the maker. This makes the pasta extrude cleaner and makes removal and cleaning easier.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would have given it 5 stars; however, when trying to make a couple of gluten-free pastas off the recipe included with the product, the machine failed to churn out the pasta. I would have to stop and clean the pasta disc and the flour/liquid compartment. At that point, I gave up and just boiled pre-made noodles. Making regular pasta has been successful and delicious, though.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine really makes great pasta! Function and cleanup is really nice. Only complaint is the recipes are in grams and the unit displays cups on the scale. Especially confusing because, as I know it, grams measure weight and cups measure volume. I can't fathom a reason they did it this way when converting the machine to the US market - they definitely didn't think it through, especially with a machine with a built in scale. After experimenting a few times, I would up with a good result - should have been much easier though.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thia machine is large and bulky and the instructions look like thry were written by someone for whom English ia a third and unmastered language. We had to go to Youtube to figure out how to use it. Pasta came out just OK and not easy to clean.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Did not perform as advertised. 1/3 cup or more of dough remained in chamber and did not propel forward. Way overpriced.
