[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this baby bottle gift set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and we loved it! My 3 month old had no problem testing these bottles. In the past I would always look for "slow flow" or even 0 flow nipples (even with my first child) and they would still come out fast or just drip when baby was not suckling and that would cause her to both choke and gulp in lots of air. I have gone through MANY bottle brands and nipples that claimed to help with swallowing lots of air and I have got to say these were the best in our experience. The packaging says "no drip design" so I tested that out. I held the bottle upside down for a minute to see if it would drip out and it didn't! I even tried drinking from it myself and you have to work for it to come out making it a breeze when switching back and forth from breastfeeding and bottle feeding. I was even comfortable with it sitting in her mouth between pauses and she didn't choke once with these bottles. They truly are "no drip" nipples and baby does truly "control the pace like breastfeeding". My favorite part about this gift set is it's all easy to CLEAN. These bottles are just three pieces. There are no extra little pieces and tiny brushes to clean different parts. It's all just three pieces of a bottle and ONE brush. The brush has a nipple cleaner at the one end. This is a plus because it's all one piece leaving no room for mold to grow over time like it can on the bottle brushes with detachable nipple cleaners. The bristles on the brush are not as hard as I expected. It's soft and non-abrasive yet cleans the bottle and grooves of the nipple cap well. I've included photos of the brush with all parts of the bottle for visuals. Notice the brush also scrubs the bottom of the bottle well, which can't be said of other bottle brushes. The only downside I may have about this gift set is the nipple cleaner. It's not like a brush. It has ridges where you just turn it around inside the nipple. I cleaned or rinsed my bottles right away after each feeding, but I'm not too sure how that nipple cleaner would hold up against milk that has set over night or even a couple days. I have a photo of what it looks like when inside the nipple as well for your convenience. I could go on about this set. I'm telling you I went through so many brands and I'm not just saying that. If you're looking for the best gift set and one that is also breastfeeding friendly it's this one!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Philips Avent Natural Baby Bottle Newborn Baby Gift Set free from Stellar Product Testing Panel. My baby started using this set at 5 months old. We were previously using another brand with A LOT of pieces. Our former reflux baby had was able to transition easily and we have decided to completely swap over to the Avent Natural bottles to cut down on washing bottle parts! Even my husband commented the bottle brush is fantastic, it gets in all the spaces easily and cleans in just a few swipes. Baby was no longer breastfeeding at this time, but the bottle's wide, soft bottle nipples kept her mouth in a very similar position, which I imagine would make a smooth transition for a breastfeeding baby too. I can hear the air flow suction release as she drinks and just gently pressing the edge of the nipple with my finger, I can feel that feature working. Air intake was something we worried about with switching bottle brands, but it seems not to be an issue! She was a bit messy at first taking this bottle, but that got better within 2 weeks as she learned the new bottle. (Honestly, that milk dribble out the corners of her mouth isn't much different from breastfeeding either!) My baby will only accept one brand of pacifier. She enjoyed gnawing on the Avent smoothies for a few minutes to relieve teething gums though! I liked that a few different nipple flow sizes were included in the set because it took a bit of trial and error to see what worked best for our baby. From experience, it's really helpful to have the next size already on hand when you start noticing a really hungry baby working hard at sucking to get more milk faster!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Philips Avent Newborn Gift Set from Stellar Product Testing Panel for my honest review. As a dad this product/ gift set is a godsend! It comes with 3 4oz bottles, 2 9oz bottles, 2 binkies, a bottle brush, 7 sealing discs, 1 natural glow nipple with fow 1 and flow 4. My wife is able to pump and place a sealing disc on it so I can feed our son while she runs her errands. The binkies are the same as what you get at the hospital. I like that the brush is soft so it doesn't scratch up the bottles and the other end helps clean the nipples. There's a hole in the nipple to help with air flow. I would recommend this gift set for all registries to get started. There's great information on the box as well as the manual. The bottles are BPA free. My son was able to adapt to it but loves the breast more. When he's with dad he's ok with it. I like the binkies because they help soothe him when he's restless. My favorite part of this gift set are the bottle sizes. As my son takes in more milk my wife can use the bigger bottles instead of multiple small ones. Another thing is the bottle brush being multifunctional. If you know a dad, or busy mom, who is welcoming a little one this gift set is a must.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this Philips Avent Natural Baby Bottle Purple Baby Gift Set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I loved that it came with pacifiers to also try! My little one is 6 mos old and strictly breastfed, I had an important procedure come up which required me to leave my little one with a babysitter, these bottles came just in time! I loved the nipples of the bottles were soft, especially very soft and flexible at the tip. The vent in the nipple is towards the edge and did great. The bottles and nipple refrigerated well, heated up well in water. My little one took the bottle of breastmilk with no fuss, it was her very first bottle to ever take. I have breastfed all my kids and trying to get them to take that first bottle is always a major ordeal, thankfully this wasn't the case with these. My little one does not like pacifiers so I can't review those, but I can say I would of loved them for when my other children were little! Getting bottles and pacifiers for that price is a good deal!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Philips Avent Natural Baby Bottle Newborn Baby Gift Set is an incredible value for what you receive. I recommend this set for new parents that will be combo feeding. The natural response nipple allowed my twins to easily transition between the breast and bottle since it mimics the breast by requiring suction for release. This helped me get some extra rest since it allowed other caregivers to feed the boys while I rested. The extra Soothie pacifiers provided are very similar to the ones from our hospital and the babies took to them right away. One of my favourite pieces is the sealing disks that allow me to store and transport bottles without the nipple attached which has been a major space saver on the top shelf of the fridge. My only concern would be the bottle brush that is included. While it cleans the bottles well, it is a little to big to be used on the nipples. I will be purchasing more of these bottles to accommodate for both my twins. Thank you Stellar Reviews for providing the bottle set and allowing me to be a part of the testing panel.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just tried out these new bottles and pacifiers from Philips Avent. We didn't fully introduce a bottle to Oliin until he was 4 months or so. We found some had a faster flow which made him spit up. These bottles are close to breastfeeding and only come in three pieces so its easy to wash. (Which my mom prefers as she's the one who offers him bottles when im away) The pacifiers included are my favorite as they have displayed the age appropriate for use. The color definitely pops as well which makes it fun for baby. Thank you Stellar product testing panel for sending out another awesome product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this baby bottle set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel] Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing panel for sending me this set to try out! Overall, this is a wonderful set. It includes 2 purple, 9oz. bottles with size 3 flow nipples and 2 pink, Ultra Air pacifiers. While using these products, I noticed many things I loved, as well as a few things to consider for next time. PROS: - I loved the fact that the bottles were purple. Our daughter goes to the church nursery once a week and takes a bottle while she is there, so it is nice to know that her milk will not be mixed up with that of another child due to the distinct purple color of the bottle. Plus, the color is super cute! - These bottles do not leak! Even with the relatively large size 3 flow nipple, there was absolutely no leaking. Baby does all the work to remove the milk, so I was confident that she was not going to develop a lazy latch or bottle preference over nursing. She still nurses like a champ despite taking a bottle multiple times per week. (See attached photo to show how leak-proof it is! I turned the bottle upside down and even squeezed it and nothing came out!) - My absolute favorite parts of the set are the pacifiers! My daughter is five months old and takes a pacifier at naptime and bedtime. She has recently started rolling over to her stomach while she sleeps, and I love that these pacifiers don't run the risk of covering her nose if she does flip over. They are lightweight and very breathable. We used to be die-hard Avent Soothies users, but these have us converted! THINGS TO CONSIDER: - My baby is used to using flow size 1 nipples on her bottles. Switching to a size 3 caused her to drink the milk a lot faster, but I found that I could curb her guzzling with frequent breaks. If your baby is on the younger side, they may need to have a smaller size nipple to start out. - These bottles are on the larger side. My baby takes breast milk in her bottles, so we will likely never put more than about 4 ounces in a bottle at once. However, these would be a great size for babies who are older or take formula, or even water, in a bottle and need more volume. Overall, this set was great to have and we will continue to use it. The star of the show were the pacifiers and we will certainly be purchasing more of that variety! While we were able to work with the flow size 3 nipple, I think I will bump down to a flow size 1 nipple because that is what works best for my daughter. I consider this set a wonderful gift for a new parent or smart addition to a baby registry!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby bottle set. Opening the box was such a nice surprise since I also got to try out a different pacifier too! The pacifiers are really cute. Unfortunately my 2 month old wasn't a fan, but he isn't a fan of any pacifier yet, which is so different compared to my first baby! He did however take to the bottles well! So it would be worth trying this set in order to try out a new pacifier and bottle. I love that the bottles are just three pieces to wash and have great features for the nipple with it being a pace feeding nipple. The color is adorable on the bottles, but I do like silicone bottles more than plastic, which is one of the only reasons I gave them 4 stars versus 5.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very cute set of two bottles and two pacifiers. Love the teal color as I find it to be gender neutral. The bottles are comfortable to hold and a good size (9oz) especially for for formula fed babies. It volume is a bit big for my baby who gets expressed milk (4oz per feed). But it was easier for him to hold up on his own. The bottle nipples have a very natural shape and easily got the deep latch you look for while breastfeeding. This was great because my little guy can be lazy when he eats. The pacifiers say “hello” and are very cute. The size on both are listed as 6-18mo. My little guy didn't care for them, but he's only 5mo. We'll give it another try once he is a but bigger. I received this set as part of Stellar Product Testing Panel.
I paid for brand new one but I received used one with damaged box I'm very upset with this purchase. There's a lot of scratches and finger print on the items
