Philips Avent Advanced Baby Bottle Sterilizer, SCF291/00

I got this Philips Bottle steriliser for a friend of mine and i must say its worth every penny. Sterilising has become so easy and convenient with the help of this Philips Bottle steriliser, it kills all the germs, and is chemical free. It also has a auto disconnect thing which activates after the bottles are sterilised for 10 minutes. Its easy to clean and occupies very less space in the kitchen as well. The design is also way too cool. And then there is brand assurance from Philips.

Initially when having a baby I didn't think a sanitizer was necessary because I would just boil water on the stove however after using the Philips Advent Advanced Baby Bottle Sterilizer I never want to go back. This sterilizer holds so much and because it has two compartments if you have a smaller load to run you don't need to use both pieces. I loved that I could turn this on and walk away without worrying about remembering to turn it off. On average I run this twice a night. It doesn't take long for it too cool down so I can run it twice between dinner and bed to sterilize all my pump parts, bottles, and even some small toys. Taking only 10min to kill 99.9% of germs is a big time saver. The only thing I dislike about this sterilizer is that you have to use distilled water and that the bottles do not dry very well in there so you must remove everything before bed. My favorite feature of this sterilizer is how sleek, compact, and functional it is. I did not use a sterilizer for my first baby, but with this baby, it has been great! It is easy to use and effective for not only bottles, but pump parts and pacifiers as well! I would highly recommend the bottle sterilizer. It fits everything I want to sterilize at once and it is highly effective. I love how it only takes a few minutes, and I don't have to worry about forgetting a pot of boiling water on the stove! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending us this Philips Avent Advanced Baby Bottle Sterilizer to try out. I had never tried a sterilizer before but now I am hooked. This day in age having things clean and sterile has come to the forefront in our lives and this machine makes it so easy to make that happen. I love how easy it is to use and in just ten minutes I know my baby's bottles are perfectly clean and sterile. The size of this sterilizer is great, holding six bottles in the bottom large section and all of the parts and pieces in the top section. I am also able to throw my pump parts in as well as pacifiers and teethers which helps give me peace of mind that everything is good and clean. One of my favorite features of this sterilizer is the two size options, when I need to clean bottles I will use the top and bottom sections and when I just need to clean pacifiers or teethers I will use the top section alone. The only negative of this sterilizer is the space it take up on the counter. I absolutely love having it but it does take up space and is bulky to try to store in a cabinet. Overall, I love this sterilizer and the peace of mind it provides, just keep in mind it does take up a bit of counter space.

Don't like dripping wet bottles after sterilization is complete

The one inconvenience when it comes to baby products is having to sterilize items before first use. The Philips Avent Advanced Baby Bottle Sterilizer takes away this inconvenience by allowing you to set it and forget it at the touch of a button. I like that it sterilizes in a short amount of time and you can take away compartments if you do not need to sterilize that many items. I love the stackable compartments that allows you to organize bottles from other things like nipples and pacifiers. The cons: the covers to each compartment must be removed for the baby items to dry and it takes up a good amount of counter space especially when you are waiting for the bottles to dry. If it was not for the cons, I would have rated it more than 3 stars. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this sterilizer.

This is an easy to use bottle sterilizer. Inside there are two levels to put items. Once you fill the bottom with water, you close it, add what you want to sterlizer, close it, press a button and go! The downside is that the items do not dry, they stay wet. This made me a little uncomfortable as to how well it worked. It is also pretty bug; both a good and bad thing I guess. I was given this sterilizer to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. As far as baby sterilizers go, this was easy to use, it sterilizes baby bottles, nipples, pacifiers very quick. There is lots of room to fit multiple bottles and accessories. It does not require very much water to use. It's easy to store on the counter and can be pushed to the side without occupying too much counter space. The cord can wrap around underneath neatly and out of the way. This model does not dry the bottles or parts but not a dealbreaker. All the components are made of plastic which gives me some concerns when heated, would prefer if I could find one that was more silicone based versus plastic.
