I would like to introduce you to the Philips Avent bottle warmer, if you haven't heard of it before. This is a very efficient and considerate item that every mother should have at least one of for convenience sake. For one thing, it does not take up much room on the kitchen counter and/or the night table in the bedroom, making it almost a necessity. Secondly, it is very easy to operate and is also very fast. The warmer heats up a 4 ounce bottle quickly and evenly in just three minutes. The milk is circulated continuously as it warms, so hot spots are also a thing of the past. The warmer also includes a setting for warming or thawing baby food and is safer than using the microwave. To start, just insert the bottle and add a little water, turn the dial to the correct setting, and turn it on. There is an indicator light to let you know the warmer is working. If you need additional warming information, a reference table is enclosed with the warmer to make it easy to calculate the correct heat-up time. It is also good to note that the warmer will heat up five ounces of room temperature breast milk in just three minutes. The warmer is compatible with most bottles sold today, toddler cups, and baby food jars and containers. Simply place food jars, cups, or filled bottles directly in the unit and add water and set the dial. I can't begin to tell you how I wish I could have had a couple of these when my children were babies.
Once you have read the instructions or time table it's easy and quick. I do not use Avent bottles I use Dr. brown bottles because my little one is used to. I am still able to use the Philips Avent warmer. works perfectly fine. The amount of time it takes to warm up the bottle is awesome since I don't have much time and also my son likes his milk not too hot. I use it for food as well and takes a little but longer but all depend the quantity or portion size you are going to place. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for a quick bottle or baby food warmer.
Good product and fast heater when the LO is crying for milk
It's not as fancy as other products but it still warms up the bottles. Still works after 2 years. Budget friendly purchase.
This bottle warmer works great and is very easy to use! It has a nice, simple design and it fits on our counter without taking up too much space. It can accommodate different types and brands of bottles which is very convenient. I only have Medela bottles, and it has done a good job of warming them quickly and evenly. It also has different warming temperatures that allow you to defrost milk that has been in the freezer, as well as warming a bottle from the refrigerator relatively fast. It can also be used for warming or defrosting baby food. It only took 3 minutes to warm a 4 oz bottle, which is better than other bottle warmers I have used. In the past I would run the bottle under hot tap water or place the bottle in a bowl of water. This cuts down on the time it takes to warm the bottle AND conserves water. The only improvement that could be made to this product is if an auto shut off function or a timer was added. You have to really keep an eye on it otherwise it will stay on until you remember to turn it off. A product any Mother would find very helpful to have at her disposal!
I received the Philips AVENT Bottle and Baby Food Warmer for free through the Walmart Spark Review Program. My daughter just gave birth to fraternal twins (boy and girl). And since she chose the Avent baby bottle system to feed her twins. It was an obvious choice to try this bottle and food warmer. I received the warmer and all I needed to do was plug it in. Very easy to operate just turn the front knob to desired bottle size setting. I do wish the AVENT Bottle and Baby Food Warmer itself had a built in timer and auto shutoff for each setting. But, it does not so you have to set a timer on your own for 4-8 minutes, depending on bottle size. And remember to shut off unit when bottle is warm. The unit will continue to warm bottle until you shut it off. This bottle warmer can also be used for baby food jars which will be good for future use for us. I did love this unit so much that I went out and bought another (since we have twins) so we could warm up two bottles at once. Which when you have two hungry babies at the same time is a no-brainier. Overall, very pleased with the AVENT Bottle and Baby Food Warmer
With a new granddaughter coming in two months, we decided to begin loading up on the latest grandparent helpers! This bottle and baby food warmer seemed like a great find and time saver! We tried it out and found that we really liked it a lot, so did my daughter, so she took this one for her use and now we must purchase a replacement for our home! You simply plug it in, put in the bottle or jar, add water up to the matching level (but below the top), turn the control knob to the desired setting, wait the appropriate time (3-5 minutes), and turn it off, or adjust it to keep it at the warming temperature you wish. For reference: It only took me five minutes to warm 6 oz. of refrigerated milk and four minutes at room temperature. The milk is evenly heated, no hot spots. On the box, there is a handy Warming Reference Table (Ounces/Time). You must remove the milk/food from the warmer on time, by watching the clock, as no time alert is on this device; leaving in too long may cause it to be to hot. Don't forget to wrist test the heated milk or stir up the heated food before serving. Once done, you must turn off the warming unit, as it has no automatic shutoff; wish it would after 10 minutes. An auto shutoff feature would come in handy for those sleepy, late night feedings. All Philips AVENT bottles, toddler cups, and food jars, fit in the warmer; I'm not sure about other brand/sized bottles. Important note: Philips AVENT breast milk bags CANNOT be used in this bottle warmer. It does have a nice additional feature, a non-warming, defrost capability! The unit is very stable and takes up very little countertop space, though you need to be near a wall 110 volt electrical outlet; cord is 37” long. The contact bottom base (rubber, no slip) is 4” wide, and the total width is 6”. It even allows you to roll up some of the cord length into the bottom. Bottom Line: Great bottle and baby food warmer unit, the warmer is fast and easy to operate, read the directions before using (practice), and remember - no automatic shut off! We do like this device!
This is my first time received the Philips AVENT Bottle and Baby Food Warmer. This is a good product. It warms the milk in glass bottles very quickly. It took around 2 to 3 minutes to get the 4 oz bottle warm. If warm the plastic 4 oz bottle it might took 3 to 4 minutes more. The temperature is good for my baby hold not too hot or cool. That's pretty costly product, but I think it is worth the money spent coz this warmer also can warm up the baby food in jars. The Philips AVENT Bottle and Baby Food Warmer is very easy to use and heats the bottle up in no time at all. We love the Philips Avent all its products. We definitely will recommend this warmer to every family with a baby. The only thing that the warmer could improve is the timer option or beeper to remind you the bottle is warming to prevent overheating that's very important for this product improvement. On the other hand, the bad thing is doesn't have a timer, handle for removing heated baby food jars, auto shut off and water tube that's the serious problem with this warm.
It does (roughly) what it advertises, however, it states that it supports the 260 ml Philips Natural bottle, but then the instructions for this unit say that the water in the unit must be level with the milk in the bottle, and the 260ml bottles are all too tall, and extend well beyond the walls of the unit. So... On the box it says it supports 260 ml bottles, but it really doesn't (according to its own instructions on how to use it).
We have been using this warmer now for about 3 months. We use it to heat bottles for our 5 month old twins. It's great to have along our bedside as we feed our growing babies. I enjoy the fact that it's small so it fits relatively anywhere. And it doesn't take up too much space on our night stand. I also like the sleek appearance. It warms up rather quickly, generally in a matter of minutes. (Although with two hungry babies waiting any time for bottles to heat seems like a lifetime lol) There are some features that I haven't really noticed the effectiveness. The warmer is suppose to blink when the contents of the bottle are hot. We always take the bottles out shake and test them and they are usually warm before the light blinks. Sometimes leaving them in just a few seconds too long and the contents can get to hot. Also, sometimes we burned our fingers while getting the bottles out, especially at night with low lights the water level is difficult to see. So be careful! We use this warmer very often. This is our first time using a warmer, and we are pretty satisfied with this brand and its performance.
